>Completely dependent on Democrats to stop blocking his nominations because of Muh Rusha.

Really grinds the old gearbox.

Trump has the ability to sell an image. Whether that image actually succeeds is up for debate. But he diversifies, which is why he's been so successful over the years. There's always something else cooking away on the backburner just in case the main dish catches fire. He's already made his millions, so if something he made burns to the ground, he just pays the fines and moves onto bigger and better things.

My one concern for the Presidency is that he hasn't shown all of his cards yet, so there's a chance that if he meets enough resistance (from both sides of the aisle) he'll just fuck off to something more lucrative. But the progressives are so focused on the shiny red cape he's waving that they're completely forgetting the anvil behind it.

Welcome to the world of business.
Not everybody is Warren Buffett sitting on 100 billion in cash. Nearly every billionaire you see either owns equities which owe a lot of debt or built their wealth through credit.

Formula One Group has a 1.4 debt to equity ratio. That's for a company that outsources nearly everything they do (Broadcasting equipment is owned by Tata. Catering and Security at the Paddock is always outsourced locally)
Coca-Cola has a 2.0 debt to equity ratio!

Credit is (overall) good! It's what separates us from the pre-Medici dark ages. It's what allows for innovation in the West.

business degree is probably easiest degree, and definitely a meme degree, unless you have connections and a million dollar loan ofc.

im not really impressed by Trump as a business man.

i just know how simple it is to take a large sum of money and make more money from it.

i dont hate the guy. i dont care either way.

but be realistic.

if you cant take a million bucks from your parents and go into real estate and make money , then u have to be like... really really dumb.

i mean if you have that much money , honestly you can just hire others to do everything for you while you sit in your office and diddle yourself.

but hey good for him for not squandering his fathers money. thats cool .

It may have been called a "degree in economics" but it was actually in Real Estate - that's the reason he transferred to Wharton. (incidentally, briefly he was a Broadway producer with dreams of studying at UCLA film school to be a director.)
He's a great property developer, but he's not a great businessman compared to

Carl Ichan is a better executive than Trump! And Ichan isn't even a CEO, he's an investor who only steps into an executive role when he needs to fix up things for a sale. Trump is somewhere below Travis Kalanick (I mention him because Kalanick and Trump have a similar combative, publicity hungry style).

If you're looking for world class CEOs look at someone like Carlos Ghosn, who we know isn't a fluke because he has had repeat successes on two different continents!

You're best off comparing Trump to 'dealmakers' like Bernie Ecclestone and Carl Ichan - both are guys who while not as good at publicity as Turmp (but both very good at it) are probably far better negotiators and far better investors than Trump.

PV = Present Value
r = compounding rate (NOT in percentage form)
n = number of compounding periods, compounded annually, in this example

FV = (1 + r) ^ n

1,000,000,000/ 1,000,000 = 1000

Math.pow(1000,.025)

I always laugh at people saying he is stupid, the guy became POTUS while being a total outsider and crushed all the GOP elephants and political dynasties like if it was nothing with far less money, he manipulated media talking about him non-stop, doing his entire promotion and he managed to be liked by the rural electors despite being a Jew York golden boy his entire life.
