I tend to buy two to three strikes depending on movement. Theres a certain threshold around $0.20-$0.25 on the dollar where if the price is rising the premium paid on a three strike ITM is too much money, IMO. If the price dips to the teens like $10.18 from say $10.25 for example, that is a big reduction on the bid/ask between a two and three strike call plus the difference in premium loaded into the strike PLUS the greeks are that much more in your favor.
