>doubled my money waaaa
Never a bad thing to take profits anon. Have you heard of hindsight bias? You didn't KNOW it would continue climbing, no sense in feeling like a mistake was made now especially after gaining 100%.
The biggest mistake you can make in trading is getting greedy although that sounds like shit it's true. The old saying goes, bulls & bears profit but pigs get slaughtered.
Hypothetical scenario: In at 150. Watch it go to 300, decide that's not enough for you. Wait for it to hit 500 or 600. Change in trend - hits 400 and takes a break. Still holding waiting for 500. Now it loses steam and begins descending again. Now maybe it's at 250. You missed some gains because you held out for a price that never happened.
Shorting the high is always an option too if you want to profit on both sides of the movement.
