Why can't I predict what a stock will do by fitting a function to the moving average?

>> No.30028630

>>30028577
Because knowing what the moving average has done in the past has no correlation with what a stock will do in the future

So you're telling me it's possible to predict the motion of the stars in the sky but you can't predict what a stock will do? What is it about markets that makes them impossible to model?

Because if the market is predictable, then everyone can play it, and that doesn't work, certainly not for those able to drive the market.
So, what do in order to make a good business, given you have the power to do so? It's simple. You basically do it randomly, up and down on random intervals. Only you can predict the market if you act accordingly, and have a good random source, like a nice lava lamp or something.

The jews can play the market. Do they know something we don't?

Are you dumb or not listening? They make the market, and they make it random (to observers/outsiders), simple as that.
>Do they know something we don't?
The random date to do a random action. They know. You don't. And since they know, they apply some amplifiers and act first, let the news know something, and watch the fireworks. It's really super simple. The fuck do you not understand?

Stars follow relatively simple low-dimensional physical laws goverened by a rather limited set of forces. Humans emotions which drive investing don't.

Because past does not predict the present lmao

it however influences some aspects of it.

>> No.30030187

Exactly. There are not just more variables, but everything is evolving (changing) as we speak (or you model).

>> No.30030227

This nigga gets it. Only fully-observable systems could be modeled more-or-less correctly.

Markets are nothing like that.
