In today's terms, how much USD would you need to make it?

about $4-500k is definitely enough.
if i budget it and bitcoin continues to give enough on 5% position i can possibly get by on $200k.

Depends the jump from minimum wage to like 30k is signficant but you don't really see a significant change in lifestyle unitl youre in $250000 +

Unironically just 100k.
That pays off student loans and my car which give me big pp credit. I already work a nice job I like that pays a lot.

In Canada I'd say you could get by relatively comfy with $2000/mo after tax income. With a 2% withdraw rate from a conservative stock portfolio that's like $1.2m Canadian which is around $1m USD.

Basically you need to try to acquire $1m dollars (possibly more) within the next few years to lock in generational wealth or you will become a bug-eater.

i just want a small house in or near a forest/small town. and live like a neet for the rest of my life, being able to do whatever i like. Prolly will be gu with 500k to start. make a perpetual money machine out of it and keep it going with as minimal effort as i can. thank god for DeFi

Couple milli after taxes, maybe three or four actually.
I have kids so my number is higher. If it was just me a million bucks would be enough.

I say 250000 as a minimum with an ideal finance situation e.g. not silly car payements and very conservative spennding. Still if you're in the bracket you say you are you could be more than comfy if you invest accordingly, however if you're in the USA or another western country I would take into account the certain/potenital turbulence of the next decade which could very well make it immensely harder to achieve true financial freedom.

>> No.30008693

For me making it would be being able to chill and do what I wanted so I think I could make they happen very easily at $2 mil. Now if I want to be a baller a shot caller like 100 mil but that's another story entirely

not in the usa and not comfy yet.
i'm overexposed in extremes: real estate and bitcoin.
i would like 60% of my net in something like the s&p500.

30% real estate
50% vanguard s&p 500 (or other stonks)

It's a tough spot with the economy and looming changes, like you said it would definitley be nicer to have more liquidity, we'll just have to see how to crypto market and other markets pan out hopefully there will be a resbite from the shinanigans where you could move things about. Once you get comfy land would unironically be the best play you could make but again only when you're at a certain point

Thinking of money as a number is pointless, you should be thinking of how many people sit above you financially, the ones with power over you. Read some of those reports on wealth distribution to get an idea of where you sit.

If you have more than a few hundred thousand people above you on the wealth ladder, you need to keep climbing. Over a million and you'll be fucked if shit hits the fan.

>> No.30011076

3-3.5m if you want any life worth retiring young for.
This will account for taxes and give you about 100k usd a year if you cash out 3% a year and have it all invested giving 7% return per year on average.

Obviously if you buy property outright this reduces.

1 million just for me, 1.5-2 million for me and mom, and 2.5-3 million to truly make it aka afford to do dumb shit once in a while instead of being frugal. With that amount of money I could buy a few apartments in Lisbon for renting, lend some stablecoins on AAVE or other defi platforms, and invest into some stonks, so overall I could make around 5-6k per month (3-4k for me and 2-3k for mom), and still have some spare money to buy a sailboat, travel the world, bang bitches and do drugs

10-50k I could start a business easily with.
But anywhere in that range would be a huge step up from my position currently and would give me the room to make more.
