Each platform has it's positives and negatives.

Not inherently, I'm on four different ones at the moment and the only thing wrong is that I'm fucking going insane not having everything in one place (no they don't all provide APIs to link folio)

Yeah. Made the mistake of listening to /biz/ shills about CoinMetro. The lack of fees is great but literally no one is using the platform. So I'm imaging when It actually is time to sale I'll be so royally fucked it won't be funny. Gonna to sell and move everything to bianance US & Coinbase Pro

the volume is low currently, but that will change soon, but I only use cm, sometimes chinknance when I want monero but that's it
also the ceo is based which is a plus in my book

Yeah, I ended up using coinmetro only for QNT, because it was the best available (bittrex has insane withdraw fees and I'm not using uniswap anymore) but yeah now I just have some QNT over there...

Completely. But if the amount of people in a market is so low, CoinMetro, how could I possible sell if the other 5000 users are trying to sell as well?

My main fiat gateway is bitvavo (am dutch), they charge no fees for eur transactions to/from the exchange (dutch only I think). I usually just send XLM to other exchanges I use.
Most of my stuff is on binance (global), I do have some things on bittrex but I want to move away. Then coinmetro and I actually have one coin on bithumb now, and low-key want to get something from liquid too...
And then I have two coins only on uniswap.

I'm moving to Greece, from the USA, for school in October. Do you know if my assets will transfer over to Binance Global if I start in Binance US. I saw somewhere you have to manually transfer the assets because your wallets are actually different.

"A market maker (MM) is a firm or individual who actively quotes two-sided markets in a security, providing bids and offers along with the market size of each."

https://www.investopedia.com/terms/m/marketmaker.asp

Market makers provide liquidity in otherwise illiquid markets. Exchanges with low volume can (perhaps counter-intuitively) also have good liquidity if they employ professional grade MMs.

I mean maybe they have a button to do it, never used binance US sorry

>> No.29991971

thanks, but the question was how to use them
if i had to guess, putting up a limit order at the top? then wait until the MM fills it?

I would recommend revisiting your exit strategy if you are apeing out alongside thousands of others.

>> No.29992273

>>29991971
They would make the market at the bid / offer, so just use a marketable limit order or a maket order and you'll hit them.

The top of book will only have so much depth, but should replenish quickly, so hit a few cent deep with smaller orders repeatedly and you'll likely be taking entirely from the MM on markets where they operate.

I like it cus our dutch system (iDeal) is instant (well about 1 minute) and it's free
Withdrawing to my bank takes a day though, but still free
>>29991200
I don't think so, try to make your account on binance global through a VPN and withdraw your coins before you leave. Or just sell all, buy XLM, send it and re-buy when you arrive.
I say XLM cus it's pretty much free to send around, withdrawing your coins (which are most likely ERC20 I bet?) will cost you a lot if you do them separately.

That makes no sense. If the coinbase price maintained relative to another venue then it would open arbitrage opportunities to close the gap, the prices wouldn't deviate too much over the long term.

I'm not talking about price deviation. I'm saying currently, CoinMetro's markets are totally stagnant. Look at the 24hr volume. I don't want have 50-100k worth of a coin in 8-12 monthes and simply be fucked because either: no one wants to buy or people don't want to buy enough, even if I go slightly below the market rate.

>> No.29994311

>>29993865
Yeah it is software that places limit orders at the first 5 - 10 levels of market depth with a set size at each level.

There are a bunch of different design parameters you could implement with a MM algo, size, depth, taper, how fast it refills, how many refills at a particular level etc. etc.

I would recommend doing a search for market makers and having a bit of a read if interested.

If depositing to a wallet on Global is as easy as it is on US I should be fine. I won't have to get any wacky altcoins to act as intermediators. Everything went through. The current gas rate is much less than if physically withdrew back into fiat, than deposited again into binance. This is great, a lot more simple, and I don't have to worry about withdrawal restrictions CoinMetro places on fiat currency.

Yeah. I don't know either. Thankfully I can transfer LINK easily into different markets, however because I'm US-based, they're the only ones, I know of, that list XRP. So I just have to hodl, I was intending to do this anyway, and wait to see. I could sell at a loss just to GTFO but I don't see a point. I was most concerned about LINK. XRP will be shitcoin tier for at least 24 more monthes.

You know how even the sketchiest of criminal entities incorporate in cyprus or Caymans or some shit? Well, CZ said Binance was listed in Malta.

Malta DENIES THIS. [1] [2]

So, Binance is NOT incorporated ANYWHERE. Which means that they operate completely outside of any jurisdiction. For DeFi, that might be OK, but a centralized exchange?...
Also, be prepared for any transactions that you chain convert from Binance to fiat to be frozen or seized by the authorities of whatever country you are a citizen of. [4]

I imagine if that was the case it'd be like XRP with Coinbase. You can't sell or buy, but you can still transfer the coin to a different wallet if you wanted to. I'd just to that, back to Coinbase or some other exchange.
