I can understand the anons earning you, but catching a pump or dumb is not too difficult. I mostly do it with BTC, just buy 4 on binance futures when it's pumping and get out as soon as I make 2-3k. And don't look back if you could've gotten more.
I know it's risky and degenerate, but I made about 10k since bitcoin started correcting last week.

Scalping or day-trading are alternatives, use the MACD indicator and trailing stop-losses and buy when the indicator is low and sell when it's high, works more than 50% of the time. Some low price coins, like $0.20, move 5 or 10% within a short period so you can make money doing that if you have time to manage the stop-losses. I don't know much about staking but you can make a fair bit that way too if you want to just put it somewhere and forget about it

5x Leverage (at max) into projects that just had big announcements or are bullish due to general crypto news, don't get too greedy and you are fine, but do NOT under any circumstance day trade with margin or in day trade general and do not use ridicolous leverage. Make sure you are on a quality exchange and not one that scam wicks you into death. If you lose money on margin trading don't transfer more into your account because you think you can make it back, stay with your 20k initial no matter what.

If you have good timing and you are up to date you could at the very least double it on a good entry after big news, however you must actually have the patience to wait for the few opportunities to ride the guaranteed pumps.

High chance you will get rekt or simply investing would've actually gotten you more/equal profit without being glued to a chart 24/7 and getting a seizure if there are sudden moves. Few traders are actually profitable at all, then compare the returns to potential investment returns and the amount of really profitable traders are ridicolously small. last bullrun i deposited exactly 20k into bitfinex and turned it into 800k in a month, but i was lucky and lost most of it again afterwards. if you're smart, don't margin trade. i got over a mil in crypto now and i would have a lot more had i just kept myself from margin trading

open a trade for about 8k for 100x or 50x then add the other 12k to the margin to lower liquidation price. also never short.
