Money is taken from the block rewards and redistributed to and entity selected by the majority. Sound familiar? Currently that entity is Charles Hoskinson's company.

Ethereum has one too.

Let's see some proof because that's not true.

>The difference between these two figures is called the reserve. During each epoch, a fixed, (but parameterizable) percentage of the remaining reserve is taken from the reserve and used for epoch rewards and treasury, where the amount being sent to the treasury is a fixed percentage of the amount taken from the reserve.

sorry anon, poor attempt at fud. do you even know what youre talking about? after each epoch ada is taken from the reserve and used as epoch rewards AND given to the treasury. The "reserve" is all ada that is not in circulation/in the treasury.

Yes, that's a dev tax. Bitcoin works the same way. If some of the BTC from block rewards were to be redistributed to a third party, this would be a dev tax too. Luckily Bitcoin is neutral and doesn't do such things.

>> No.29966393

Ah, so now you are fudding ADA?
Ok.

Can a simple fact really be considered FUD? Many people don't know this little detail and are put off by it, which is why it's not advertised.

there is no 3rd party you fucking idiot. the reserve and treasury are held by the protocol not a specific entity. last response because you are obviously conflating shit you don't understand as fud (dex tax) and/or you're retarded.

>> No.29966587

>>29966510
It's paid out by majority vote (to charles hoskinson), just like a tax. You're moving the goal posts btw. First it wasn't a tax, now it's about who it's paid to.

Reminder that you said "last response" because you felt that you couldn't win this debate. Sad!
