What would happen if /biz/ found a stock with a low number of shares and just bought up every share? Could we then install /biz/tards on the board to make the decisions and turn the company profitable? It doesn't seem like it would be that hard... for example Golis Telecom, the largest telecommunications company in Somalia, only has 10,000 shares going for $300 apiece. /biz/ could easily take it over, we get way more than 10,000 unique visitors a month. Am I onto something here?

I did this on a forum back in the day with a company that had been pummeled to around a $50MM valuation and over time we all added up our share counts and realized we owned a controlling stake in the company. It was a biotech co.
Here's what happened.
>We denied management their bonuses one year after they weren't moving fast enough on licensing.
Maybe they figured out we were in control then, because next
>They hired an outside firm to short the stock into oblivion and issued warrants for themselves at a much lower valuation.

>We would regularly call the CFO and complain about mgmt's performance
>Some guys went and found the CEO in person
Anyways they're still shorting as this is happening and it got squeezed a couple times but mostly stayed on the downtrend while management did nothing.
They were diluting us to pay salaries and not ever finding an exit, it was becoming a scam.
Long story short I sold my stake on a squeeze and just checked in now and then, one day I saw in my news that the company had been delisted. Shortly after it went bankrupt.
So in closing, what happens when we buy a company? It goes bankrupt in two years.
