I think what I find appeal about it is that it has a nice mix of blue and red as far as politics and culture. For someone who is in the art scene I can never really get away from living in a blue area, but most cities have gone fucking overboard see NYC and SF. Nashville seems to have a small slight trad flair to it and I imagine Franklin even more so.

From your pic, I can atleast enjoy some old world amenities such as walkable cities and decent architecture. The US continues to lose its glory. I came to Austin, TX hoping that it would be a good place to put down roots, but it's kind of trash. Used to be a lot nicer, this place is filling up with dregs from the third wolrd at an incredible rate. These days, I literally see more niggers in one day than I would have in an entire year twenty years ago.
