Because tokens will be used for the final product, it helps to have them already distributed out and have liquidity around. It also helps to build up the community.
It was always intended to be a small, low price distribution phase, but moonboys hopped on it and caused it to pnd. It works cause it'll keep it under the radar of most people till it is more fully developed now.
