options certainly do not "trade the same as anything". they're not shares, there is an unlimited number of them. every option you sell or buy has a market maker on the opposing side.
pick some random no name stock with an option book with zero open interest and volume (none of those options exist, none of them have traded) and then set a buy or sell order at the mark price, it'll fill instantly.

The parliamentary rules have it in a weird spot.

I think senate passes it without the min wage hike, then house has a committee strip the min wage hike and repasses it, then Biden signs it?

Then the tards introduce a separate min wage hike, and it gets completely buttfucked, causing more stock gains.

We might get $10/hour, though.

Indeed, the long course of QE and rock bottom interest rates for 13 years has inflated markets dramatically. I'm not going to try and argue that next week is when the bloodbath will start, but there WILL be a reversal in the next 18 months at most, and a bad one. I think next 6 months. The multiple expansion that has occurred over the last 12 months only points in one direction for the market. Rates and yields WILL go up, they can only go in one direction and when that occurs the market will quickly reassess the price ratios of shares. The most bullish scenario possible is that earnings absolutely blow expectations out of the water non-stop for the next few years AND prices stay stable. In other words, bringing the ratios back into reasonable levels without a loss of capital. In that scenario you make 0% capital growth and might get 2-4% in dividends.

A couple of "Ls"? Trump still has like a 97% approval in the republican party, it would literally destroy them. 48% of republican voters wants him to stay as the head, while only 12% wants him to not be the head of the party anymore according to polls released this month

The working class republicans need to develop class consciousness. They all think they are temporarily embarrassed billionaires... I used to browse /pol/ too much and fell into the billionaire bootlicking but then I started consuming IDW content (mostly Eric Weinstein who identifies as a progressive but I think he is more of a weird mix between progressive and neolib) and it lead me to actually questioning my /pol/tard views that I discovered actually came from a place of economic anxiety.

We desperately need class unity in the working class. I don’t know how we are going to get it with all the neoliberal idpol that’s infested itself all over the mainstream. Even AOC is more of a neolib imo... she LARPs as a progressive and ends up just licking Pelosi’s boots at the end of the day.

$AEZS is working with a university on a Oral Vaccine for Covid with a treatment that previously passed drug tests.

https://biopharmajournal.com/2021/02/25/aeterna-zentaris-inc-nasdaqaezs-enters-a-deal-with-university-wuerzburg-to-develop-and-evaluate-oral-prophylactic-bacterial-vaccine-to-protect-from-coronavirus/

>The university Wuerzburg scheduled a meeting at Paul-Ehrlich Institute to discuss with the German authorities for the initial clinical study involving humans. If it finds sufficient scientific information for advancing into a clinical study, Aeterna will abbreviate the development program for the COVID-19 vaccine. The company is already having clinical safety data for Salmonella Typhi Ty21a, the underlying vaccine.

>CEO of Aeterna, Klaus Paulini said the vaccines for coronavirus are already developed. The company plans to improve the vaccine to enhance its effectiveness, less stringent storage requirements, and make it more economical.

>Klaus said the company hopes to get more data from this new vaccine trial for an effective and safe administration to protect against coronavirus. The company will contribute its experience and expertise in GMP compliant production and preclinical development of the project.

>The professor at The University Wuerzburg, Thomas Rudel said the new vaccine technology is based on the modified live-attenuated Salmonella Typhi Ty21a strain to offer two viral antigens. It provides an option to develop an innovative oral vaccination strategy to protect people from getting coronavirus infection.

>Also, incorporating dual antigens in one vaccine prevents the evolution of new variants of coronavirus. The decision of Aeterna to license its technology will help the scientists to expedite clinical development.

okay, you just don't understand fundamental aspects of options orderflow. that's fine.
the mark value is so vitally important to options traders that even robinhood displays it, and that is a platform which hides a lot of important information from its clientele. as an example, if you take a look at the customization criteria for filtering the options book in ThinkorSwim, the very first criteria shown in the list is 'Mark' because it is that important.
the mark is the price that the market maker will instantly fill your option, regardless of their current risk. the mark is often times just the mid point between the bid and the ask, but not always. if the options market is leaning heavily in one direction the market maker shifts the mark towards the opposite direction because they need better slippage for taking on the opposing trades while remaining profitable while executing their gamma hedging.
if two individuals could trade options with each other, they could short more stock than actually exist, or create new shares without input from the equity/stock exchange. because of this, your counterparty is always the market maker in options trades.

i understand that you only trade liquid options, but just because you trade them doesn't mean you understand what is going on behind the scenes. every single trading platform displays the mark, generally by default wherever greeks are shown, typically on the order book itself, maybe some platforms have it hidden away somewhere? i haven't used every broker's platform in existence so I cannot say for sure, but the fact of the matter is that it is there even if you haven't noticed it.

The worst case scenario is the Nasdaq drops more than 33% in a single day which would liquidate TQQQ. That's very unlikely with circuit breakers. The penultimate worst case scenario is Japanification of the US economy which would cause TQQQ to drop over 99.99% making it essentially worthless. This is unlikely with the Fed in action. Third worst case would be another tech bubble burst like 1999/2000 but you could survive that by DCA'ing in on the way down and selling covered calls. Not only would you survive in that case you'd probably end up doing very well. In my opinion you would do yourself a great disservice not putting at least some of your portfolio in either TQQQ or SOXL.

I‘m talking DCA down after we see a pull back or correction. Start putting in money at -10% (?) I‘ve been thinking -20% because who knows how low NASDAQ can go. I just wonder if it would be a wise hold during a bear market. Maybe hold it now until the bubble bursts could be fun, too and just work with a stop loss

Interesting, I just googled "FINRA limit bands TQQQ" and nothing came up. I haven't heard about that before either. Do you have a screenshot or a link I can check out?

Here's a paper that gives a great strategy for holding 3x leveraged ETFs long term and how to mitigate the effects of bear markets. It's very good so check it out: https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=2741701
I think that will answer all your questions. I hold thousands of shares of SOXL (yes, really) and that's the strategy I use

Why would that matter? I don’t think many people will go all in on it? Why would it matter anyways?

No, holding a 3x levered etf composed of profitless growth companies would not be wise to hold during a bear market brought about by hyperinflation or a sudden return to market interest rates. Like I said, FiNRA (guys in charge along with NYSE and CBOE) already thought about the carnage this thing would cause and started treating it like a backwater commodity where it cant move down more than so many % in a day.

You don't get it, it's meant to demoralize wagies and strip them of all human dignity so they don't form unions or get uppity. It's a fantastic investment.

Great point. I would like to continue to discuss this. Maybe we can look at some historical data again. Very helpful so far, thanks again!
