I have 250 BNT and I want to stake them. But I don't get it.. What pool should I choose if I only have BNT? Let's say I pick BNT/Link pool... How does this works?

check fees, then check btn - coin ratio and calculate the fees for bnt, join the one with highest fees

i would buy some more before staking (gas is high) but your bnt will go to the bnt side on the bnt/link pool
you will get
a) rewards from the liquidity mining
b) fees from the trades made on that pool
c) you will get 100% impermanent loss protection after 100 days

YOU need to read up on impermanent loss first. Then read it again, and again.

i am not op but do you guys recommend metamask or what because all i have is a coinbase with 410 bnt on it and i wanna stake? its safe if funds are only on metamask for a few mins right? i dont really trust it

Ye, 250 is not too much. Maybe 500 is a good number? As soon as I get 40k or 50k I will stake it all, but for now is all I got. I plan to use my rewards in buying crypto monthly until I reach that number.

Ive had 50k worth of coins in metamask wallet for over a year.

If you're a coomer, open random attachments in emails, or click links that pajeets post on twitter its probably not a good idea.

you need something to interact with bancor, so yes, you will always need metamask or any other wallet. metamask is safe, but I would recommend you use metamask with an hardware wallet.

the amount is whatever you think makes sense considering you will probably spend 200+ bucks to stake.
