I saw all of them go for far higher on eBay and that some of them are even sold out on Best Buy now and those ones go for really absurd prices like $200+ and constantly rising. Felt the FOMO so I just market bought all the Limited Run games selling at all the Best Buys near me. Most of them ranged between $20-40. I felt kinda stupid at first but then realized I recklessly gamble 10k on shitcoins that could rugpull at any moment like it’s nothing so this seems like a far safer investment. It should at least hold up in value and I don’t have to go to bed every night worrying if my investment will lose 50% in value.

Is this based? Am I gonna make it? I also have about 50k+ worth of old JRPGs and retro games complete in box

Where is the anon from earlier that shilled Doom being out of print on the Switch? Your shilling sent me down this rabbit hole. Also bought 2 copies of Doom from GameStop, last 2 they had near me kek. I’ve been collecting games for years now so am always looking for good tip offs in this market

Wtf biz, where are the other based vidya bros at? I’m all about crypto and have 90% of my networth in there but video games are great and safe investments relatively speaking to supplement it with. If you know the right games to look for these have really only gone up over the years, some of my fully boxed titles go for $200-500 and I have many of these

Maybe for these LR games but I have many old JRPGs and retro games I bought for $30-50 back in the day that are now $200+ and only rising steadily over time

And they said people don't buy physical games anymore. It really is pretty funny how well these things appreciate, anything cartridge based is easy to maintain as well. So I see switch games as a particularly good investment due to limited production and easier upkeep compared to GameCube or PS2 stuff. Plus most of these games are released digitally as well, meaning you can still play them and keep your physical copies sealed. I'm a big fan of LR and what they do, and hope they can expand.

Does this make Gamestop some sort of appreciating commodity holder? They must have a crazy amount of retro games. People just sell collections for pennies, not knowing what they have.

I think this is true for a few switch games actually. I wasn't able to find dark souls remastered new from any store recently, was stuck on with letgo. Paid $40, looks like they go for $60 now elsewhere.

Interesting, will look into that one. Were you the based anon from earlier I was talking about?

Based. More popular LRG releases are always an easy 30-50% flip. I'm currently buying every single copy of Plague Road Kickstarter Version I can find for PS4, only about 300ish copies made, should skyrocket at some point.

Unfortunately not, just another collector that has some minor professional experience. But I'm happy to see that there's a nice amount of frens that see the physical game market as legitimate.
