This is an issue of much debate with no objective answer.
If you expect a scenario where you might be bartering silver coins with normal people or merchants, then its possible that there will be a distrust of non bullion/ nationally minted coins due to the huge variety of designs on rounds and bars, and the average person not being aware of all the various independent mints pre-crisis. Without the internet available to cross reference these things, and with the average person not being an expert in identifying real silver, they may be reluctant to take anything that isnt commonly known. Coins from the US, UK, CA and SA mints are known by almost everyone and easily identified. Austrailian, Austrian and non anglo European coins are probably fine too.
Random rounds with boba fett or some chick's tits, or anything chinese will be highly suspicious to the average person.

If you see yourself selling your metals to a dealer or some other known authority on metals in a post crisis recovery phase in order to transition to the new currency, then probably any form of the metal (if pure) is fine, because those buyers will understand the market and be familiar with verification.

This is just my opinion, and as i said there is no objective correct answer.

Next contract delivery month of May is the boom date for the coomex.


Just look at the open interest on the contracts, it's something stupid like 130k open contracts at the moment. That's ~670 mil oz. basically the entire coomex supply. Now OFC some will rollover and the coomex will incentivize that, but PSLV is taking ~1-2 million oz from it a day and I expect volume to ramp up in march/april significantly when we break 30. PSLV and others are coiling the spring for the May habbening.

In order to make asteroid mining feasible, you would need drastically less expensive and drastically safer access to space. Something much better than rockets.
