I believe most financial assets are vapor offering nothing but acting as a savings account or an escape from the fires of inflation. The economy is long past organic growth. Only selected entities grow, and never enough to make money consistently to significantly outpace inflation.

I want a return to real money, where we don't pay for stock in someone's company expecting dividends based on speculation of future profits, but instead simply get exactly what we are paying for when we pay for something and the person who is selling gets real money, something he can expect to rely on to be worth the same amount to pay someone else at virtually any time in the future.

I used to own some Sotkamo Silver but decided my money would be better used elsewhere after all. Their debt and performance as well as the general lack of transparency on the company website (no technical report) kind of made me want to move on. I own a bit over 100ozs Ag & a cool sterling silver bowl but I actually feel like I should have bought gold because I'm getting a feeling I'll have a hard time selling the silver even in a hyperinflationary event over here in Finland, we really don't have the same kind of culture and environment for precious metals as in the Americas. Oh well, good to have anyways I suppose. Been stacking canned food though, that's the shit.

If you want to learn how to research these miners look at the pastebin in the OP btw, lots to consider when investing.

1lb Beef Tallow (butcher shop)
1 cup dried berries

Grate the jerky into a fine powder.
Render the tallow so that it becomes liquid - when you do this some crusty stuff floats to the top, it makes good dog treats but you don't want that crusty stuff in your pemmican.
Mix jerky powder, dried berries, and tallow
Let cool and harden

Fat (tallow) and salt (jerky) keeps the meat from going rancid. Berries add vitamins and minerals. 1 candy-bar size brick is enough nutrition for 1 adult for 1 day.

I've been hearing all this hype about PMs here and on plebbit, so I decided to do a temperature check today and visit my LCS to see if the hype is real. I brought some old non-silver odds and ends from my childhood coin collection. Had a nice chat with the owner and ended up trading for these two morgans. Looks like the hype is real, lots of younger people (around 25-35 y/o) are starting to stack. Even with the current spot, the guy is selling ASEs for $40. I'm not sure if it's a good market for silver right now with these insane premiums, my next few purchases will likely be gold. The good news about all that is going on is that more and more people are waking up and starting to see the value in PMs. There is no closing the lid on that. I doubt we will ever see the spot price of silver dip below $20 again.

Yes, it's waaaaay down the road if it's ever at all feasible. I don't even need to read more on it to know that. Human hands couldn't...we've had robots building out cars since the '80s, and we've got decent AI now, too. Just transport and that big one, re-entry, as you said.

>> No.29844776

I keep going back and forth on the silver thesis. I KNOW deep in my heart that this system cannot continue. Our economy is a house of cards made of debt, money printing, and more debt. Demand for silver is at insane levels right now, both retail buyers and futures investors are struggling to obtain physical. And yet we continue to see the price get slammed down again and again. I KNOW it's a rigged game, but so did the Hunt Brothers. They failed despite their best efforts. Now the situation is similar in a lot of ways regarding the silver "squeeze," but the underlying economy is much much worse. Will this make the difference? I don't know. All I have is to bet on what I believe in. The more I doubt myself the stronger my conviction becomes. I cannot mathematically see a way in which the status quo is maintained. I fear one day the realization that we were all too early, just like the Hunt Brothers were.

Nah, space mining is really viable. If we ever set up space colonies spending raw materials from earth isn't really an option. They would need to source their own materials for construction and manufacturing. But gold and silver will be only byproducts of mining like with modern copper mining.
However sending missions with sore goal of mining PMs will never be economically viable.

I'm in the same boat, but also we've been in this situation for a looong time and haven't had a correction of proper magnitude. The 2008 'crisis' was going to be the well needed correction and then the government stepped in like a bunch of retards and prevented the free market from pruning off the big autistic banks. I think it's almost guaranteed that they will try something similar again in the future, but this time it is much more likely to backfire since it has the weight of the last 30+ whatever years behind it. I'm a pretty pessimistic person by default, I genuinely enjoy thinking about how things could go wrong (in general, not just financials) so I try to keep that in mind as I process through everything that's going on these days. Basically I'm at the point where I'm trying to hedge against myself, if I didn't then I would go all in on autistic doomsday prepping mode, placing all of my savings into property/ammo/food/precious metals. I try to balance this autistic side of me with a more grounded approach and use the Kelly Criterion to decide what percent of my savings I'm putting into "typical" investing in index funds and stocks, vs what percent I put into my autistic "doomsday prepping"-esque investing. The doomsday part is slowly taking a larger percent over time, but I worry that I'm just developing a schizo mindset from reading all of you retards' thoughts every day.

I don’t know about you all... but because of the 2nd variant of Corona this is the first time since college that I’ve felt alive. I have lots of silver and been waiting for something like this to happen for 5 years. The point where things get so bad that 1 silver merc dime will buy me a blowjob from a formerly well to do housewife and her 18 year old daughter at the same time. I’ve been waiting in the shadows laughing at these cuck husbands who buy their wives range rovers instead of buying silver bullion... knowing that I’ll be face fucking their wives mouths for the 1.30$ it cost me to buy that silver dime.

Just yesterday at Whole Foods I seamlessly entered into conversation about Corona with a roastie milf that had a ring on her finger in the water aisle... and I said this is all a cover for trump to bring us back on a gold standard. She started looking at me in amazement like she wanted me to paint her lips in cum. At the end of the conversation I’m like take my number l have plenty of protection and freeze dried food if you ever need it and she took it from me.
