What we know so far

>Mat is a coke head and fun at parties
>Mat indirectly still owns 50% of LP tokens and could 'end' LinkPool at any time
>Funds are not SAFU
>Jonny, Eric, and Ian are AWOL
>Telegram is a dumpster fire of empty questions
>Decentralized exchange is actually centralized and still not open

uhoh mat why you do us like this?

Who tf are we fudding really? There’s like 700 holders of LP. I feel like anyone who bought isn’t a total pepega in terms of understanding implications. But if we really think we can tank the price with fud, I’m down to scoop up some more cheap LP kek. My biggest regret was only buying half an LP back when it was worth a few k

I'll wait to see what Jonny has to say first. Mat already raised red flags before all this with his unprofessional conduct and biden cocksucking on twitter so let's just see how the cookie crumbles.

>> No.29804922

>>29804563
I mean to be completely honest, I don’t really see how this is going to change much of anything since most of the “issues” arising from this have more or less been resolved already:
>Dex shutting down - they’re moving to ERC20 anyways which will basically eliminate this control
>Mat Beale influence - dude clearly voided whatever exit agreement they had in place for him after his first fuck up, so desu it’s actually kinda bullish how hard he fucked himself in the ass on telegram and Twitter. It would not surprise me to see him lose a large portion of those tokens or have them locked up for an extended period of time. At least you can address the issue now because of his incompetence rather than later
>Trust - Johnny can easily regain this by simply locking up their side of the tokens when the erc20 swap occurs. Have it locked for many years since regardless they should have no desire to sell it

link pool is not an arm of chainlink the company
the only thing they have in common is johnny is on sergeys payroll which might end soon

>> No.29805163

>>29804922
>- Johnny can easily regain this by simply locking up their side of the tokens when the erc20 swap occurs.
not to mention that it's piss easy to deploy a smart contract in a way that would lock their tokens out of circulation while at the same time allow them to stake it and withdraw the rewards they get from the nodes

can i hold linkpool on my ledger? also how will doing this effect the switch to erc20? if i have 36k link tokens and i want to stake a few k on linkpool, how much linkpool should i buy?

>> No.29805545

>>29805163
100% agreed, especially in how it’s expected to work. Like it’s funny this happened now before the token swap, since the token swap is the one opportunity to be able to fix all of this. Had they done the token swap already it wouldn’t have been impossible to fix, but definitely non-ideal and a disaster for optics and regaining trust. Imo the solution here is dead simple and easy to execute given their existing plans

>> No.29805716

>>29804922
the issue that stands out is that LinkPool tokens have dual, convoluted uses:
1) issued to crowdsale investors (individuals) and then released into the wild to be exchanged
2) the source of LinkPool's (the company's) revenue, which it needs to sustain all of its salaries, overhead, marketing, etc.
so when people like Beale leave it has a direct negative impact on the revenue of LinkPool and thus their ability to hire, sustain, and grow.
That's got to be figured out.

No I get that but I guess what I’m saying is mat already is basically going to lose a lot of LP I imagine by violating terms of his exit agreement. I imagine that’s why Johnny and co are so silent, as they are probably talking with legal counsel about best course of action to take
I personally went through this myself with my own company when I had a mat Beale like cofounder and it took me a week to talk to lawyers to determine best course of action to take since he violated our shareholders agreement and resigned before violating again. Ultimately he lost shares and I bought his remaining ones for the very reason you described
Point is, Mat is screwing himself further with every tweet and telegram message he writes but at this point I don’t think he can save himself. I think unironically he’s going to become irrelevant lp wise

>I think unironically he’s going to become irrelevant lp wise
the worst case scenario is that he's relevant LP wise in that he becomes a literal supervillain of the LP community who holds our market hostage

if you were in the telegram group he was actually very cordial and kind at first, but people started abusing him out of impulsive rage

are you suggesting that his twitter tirade could give the LP firm a legal excuse to reclaim his severance package and thus halt his ability to dump?

>> No.29807639

>>29807460
>>29807460
His severance was 150 LP. 10% of circulating supply is a lot, but hardly enough to hold the market hostage (as long as LP has a working product)

>> No.29807656

>>29807460
yup exactly, he didn’t help his case and continued to make promises on behalf of linkpool. He kept saying we for example, which I found peculiar since you are not supposed to say that upon agreeing to exit. The company doesn’t want you to represent them for a reason, and that’s what he went on to do. I get he wanted to get out in front of it all first, but ultimately he shot himself in the foot

>> No.29807775

>>29807460
Well gee if someone fucks over my investment but they're polite we should let them walk all over our fucking balls then.
The guy has smeared Linkpool's reputation and by proxy Chainlink's. He deserves everything he gets and more. He could have waited for an exit statement before dumping on the market, but he fucked that up. He could have waited for a statement about why the DEX was fucked, but he fucked that up. Then continuted fucking it up continually, just so that he could stroke his own ego and feel like the good guy.
