Don't get me wrong I was very bullish on FTM but when I found out about this 1/3 validation power problem. I sold 85% of my stack at 0.67$. The extra implementations after that and new partnerships made people forget about the problem and makes me even more bearish. It’s not about capping max stake though, it’s about the percentage each validator can hold according to the rules. The failsafe is there to keep things decentralized, they just need to educate stalkers not to stake on the biggest nodes so that staking remains truly decentralized and spread across all validators.

Kind of annoying though that they spread so much fud on the site about potential ‘malicious’ nodes so that people’s natural inclination is to go with the most popular ones because they appear more ‘safe’.

It’s an easy issue to fix though and has nothing to do with the actual fundamentals, the failsafe was activated as intended to prevent a takeover of the network.
