Well they are different metals and behave somewhat differently but you are correct that many stack silver because they are priced out of gold. It's much more fun to buy tubes full of coins than a single coin if you are a poorfag and that is why poorfags stick to silver. If you are really rich it really is the complete opposite since no one has room to stack huge amounts of silver. Meanwhile gold is extremely dense in value and it's easy to store large amount of wealth with gold bars.

So to see if this same relationship exists with other metals and can predict the future price accurately, I compared iron futures to gold and this is the result.
