What is the cheapest possible way to host a website and also pay for its domain registration? The site will be tiny and won't have a huge amount of traffic, it just can't be on a sub domain.

$5 DigitalOcean VPS -> apt-get install apache2-mpm-prefork

Get a .info or some shit TLD for < $10/yr somewhere.

If they don't host your DNS for you, use a free DNS provider like https://freedns.afraid.org

You could also pay GoDaddy like $2/mo or whatever it costs for their shitty shared hosting plans when you get the $12/yr domain through them. The advantage of your own VPS is that you can host an unlimited number of sites there.

nosupportlinuxhosting.com costs 1$ per month for hosting,
internet.bs 9$ per year for the .com domain name
I have smileowl.com registered with them and hosted by nosupportlinux and I had great experience with them. I used to do webhosting with a bigger webhosting company that charged a lot more and had a lot of outages.

Zyma = great hosting + dotcom domain name + freebie software if you want to install free ecommerce software.

You're welcome.
