this is going to be a lot bigger than most people realize
unfortunately there is no shitcoin and thus no direct way for us to invest in it
i guess invest in ETH and the projects that plan to adopt Optimism

lol if it's not already in place, it's behind both ZK and connext, which means it'll be obsolete before it gets off the ground.

dydx is already built on zk, and connext is already changing the game for eth, bsc and matic chains.

example of development that's already produced on connext:

RLC is one.

zk rollups aren't evm compatible so building on there is a pain because you also have to deal with tons of math shit.

based, biz is sleeping on this.

just invest in ETH based alts like Rubic

Yeah but we all own that already. Only newfags and weak hands falling for the fud don’t.,

it's on mainnet now. It's also being used in the biggest black swan cross-chain functionality protocol.

AMMs are dying and they don't even know it.

Are major dapps building there? Synthetix and Uniswap are building on Optimism and Uniswap eats up 25% of all ETH gas

>> No.29699775

>>29698699
what about MATIC?

>> No.29699865

>>29699637
If optimism is only hitting mainnet now it's about a year behind ZK and at least a quarter behind Connext - and yes, there are major projects building on connext.

Uni eats up gas fees because AMM bots. What happens when those bots are able to transact cheaply, and order books handle instant swaps without impermanent loss, while still paying market makers for their liquidity?

Not spoonfeeding you, you're going to have to buy at retail just like everyone else.

that's the problem with the can of worms eth opened.
nobody's actually using ethereum for anything productive.
they just use ether to speculate on random fucking nonsense like RLC and Rubic.
there's no reason to trade that bullshit on chain.
if all they care about is price, they should trade penny stocks.
at least there would be a chance that the ticker they're invested in can do something remotely productive with the money.

matic is effectively a sidechain just like BSC. It's fine, but subject to the same scalability limitations as eth and BSC. It is a usable solution in the meantime; with that said, connext will work as a state channel solution on all EVM-compatible blockchains, and is 100% feeless once transacting within its state channel.

throughput is 5k+ tx/min as well, if I remember correctly.

>> No.29700213

>>29700027
you'll learn once the network goes live and is transacting in the hundreds of millions within a month of mainnet release. Don't worry, you'll know by mid-Q2 what you missed out on.

so lightning network tech?

This is my final post.

There are two principle needs for crypto:
1) scalability/tx throughput
2) cross-chain compatibility

There are many coins that claim to be able to compete in this space - but only one project that has a team that built the LN for tier 1 coins like LTC and tier 1 exchanges like Bitfinex.

This project is also now leveraging connext to create a cross-chain compatible solution that enables DeFi to come to Bitcoin, via LN and connext.

This is all you'll get from me. DYOR.

>> No.29700519

>>29699865
connext has laughable TVL, like $12k or so. No serious project is building on it even though they are out for a long time.

>> No.29700993

>>29697958
God I hope so. Competition is necessary for the marketcap to actually grow.
