not fud but a general question, unrelated to cardano. what do you guys think of hashgraph? i've seen it be touted as a "blockchain killer" yet it cannot keep a long history of records. the TPS is another thing being memed. with L2 solutions such as a hydra, cardano can, apparently, reach around 1mil tps and scale as the system (nodes) grow. i also don't think its a crypto seeing as its centralised, private and patented. Sounds like a glorified database.

Basically I dabbled in crypto before, right before the 2017 bull run, and way before that in just BTC. I thought ADA was undervalued. Several factors made me make a decision that was, in retrospect, pretty risky.

I found out Charles Hoskinson was co-creator of Ethereum, and he planned to make Cardano better by learning from the mistakes of Ethereum. I also liked that they published a ton of research papers and thus took a scientific approach. And finally another major factor was that the code is open source, written in Haskell, and they hired a consulant from Well Typed to work on it. Well Typed is pretty much THE authority when it comes to Haskell programming. They contain literally the best of the best Haskell programmers you can find. And the code was of course actively worked on, only trailing behind some major coins in number of commits.

I stuck with ADA because it has grown and improved a lot. Shelley update went smoothly, Goguen is coming soon, it is the most decentralized PoS coin, etc.
