I want to partecipate in IDOs on polkastarter. Is 3000 POLS a mandatory requirement for every pool or not? Because it's fucking expensive.

Basically yes. If you hold 3k pols for a week your chance of getting in the Pols IDO pool is less than 1 in 100. If you apply for a normal ETH pool without POLS tokens, your chance is 1 in 10,000. Get LPOOL instead, you can apply for their IDO's with only 1 token and you can get a spot (they use the binance method of IDO).

there are public pools that anyone can buy into. but just FYI even if you hold pols most of these idos have a lottery whitelist, and even making it through that doesn’t guarantee you’ll be able to buy, when it opens you’ll have like a 30 second window to make your deposit of around 1 eth max typically. I was gonna try and get whitelisted on one, only to learn they still had a private VC presale even before the “exclusive” polkastarter funding round. after that I said fuck it. I don’t know if it’s changed since then but it was very disappointing when I tried it
