instead of using the avalanche to ethereum bridge to transfer 1 UNI token, you're better off just buying AVAX on an exchange and sending it to an AVAX x-chain wallet, and then from there sending it to your c-chain wallet (the same address as the eth wallet that holds uni/sushi)

yes
you can use your AVAX on pangolin to swap for 1 UNI (it uses AVAX as gas fee)
once you have 1 UNI in your avax c-chain wallet it unlocks pangolin, and you spend avax as gas to claim it
(hint: set it to 500 gwei, 470 sometimes doesn't go through)

don't forget once you buy your AVAX on the exchange, to withdraw to the wallet you create here:

make sure to use the x-chain address

Step 10: Get your X-chain address from within your wallet and withdraw from the exchange to that address.
