Wish you all a merry altcoin summer, fellow oldfags, 2017 boomers and newcomer zoomers.

Play it smart and don't forget to take a look at the US Dollar Index (DXY) from time to time, its reversal marks the end of the bullrun.

bros i've been hearing a lot of people talk about an incoming alt season. i'm more pessismitic about it, since i feel like we are currently in it, it's just a small fraction of 2017. with that said, i hope you guys are right, because that would be my ticket to make it. i need one more 10x.

The pessimism you feel is actually a good thing, it means we are somewhere in the timeframe when Ether went from 1 to 10 USD, for those who remember. It felt the same way back then.

Alts wake up when BTC went up big time and starts to go sideways after correcting.

Alts haven't already woken up? Every coins has been spiking for a couple weeks at least.

Well it's difficult to say what will moon when, but historically the older altcoins (from 2017 this time) start to move around first. But they don't have to be the big winners in this new bullrun, nobody knows yet what will (ETH, DeFi, NFTs, or some ETH killer, who knows).

The strongest signal is, as always, Doge.
In March 2017, it initially went up 2000% in 80 days.
Now, December 2020, it went up nearly 3000% in 80 days.

These mark the start of a big altcoin cycle, the one from 2017 lasted 10 months, so there is plenty of time. So expect the real crazyness by mid/end of this year.

All I hear is btc will correct again, alts become cheap, btc pumps and alts follow along

People said exactly the same in 2017 when ETH went from 10 cents to 10 USD and then to 100 USD.
All I say is keep your eyes open, look out for the next craze, most older shitcoins never reach their ATH again.

What do you look for and what projects?
I feel lost in a see of PnD jeet scams and DeFi yield farm new tokens.

Like I am trying to scan for actual gems and not just following herd to a hopeful 100x bullshit.

yeah sadly missed that. i think i got here once it had reach $100 and then traveled to $500.

>not just following the herd to a 100x

Who cares as long as the herds right?
