I only want to buy Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Chainlink. Want to wait a couple of years when things calm down before spending lots of money but feel okay gambling/wasting a little bit of money before then so I can have some fun while lurking.

Use Coinbase pro, instead, for lower fees

Do it. My plan is to buy the actual stonk when the make their IPO. Should be a nicely diverse position giving mild exposure to the gains potential of crypto currencies while also leveraging the actual physical and intellectual infrastructure needed to trade coins as well.

It generally serves its purpose fine as being a gateway for normies to buy crypto. As a rule though: hold your coins locally. Never keep them in a wallet you don't own (i.e. don't have the private key to).

You're going to regret only investing a "little bit" in a couple years though, FYI.

coinbase pro is better, only con is there is no staking on CB pro, but basic CB does have staking, but the selection is limited when compared to binance or kraken

I hated coinbase in 2013 and I hate it now.

What's your reasoning for this? Wouldn't it be better to wait until after another crash?

no, coinbase refuses to allow bitcoin trades. they banned bsv when it threatened their sidechain businesses and fee structure

Use https://coin-metro.com/
Even lower fees and actual support when some shit happens

Coinbase is really intuitive and easy to use, but there are few coins. Try uniswap too and buy some dips $SNOW, $ETH, $DOT

pretty based desu

>> No.29454419

It's pretty basic and it's not terrible, but the fees are higher than some other places. If you spent a few months learning about crypto, then I suggest to moving to CBpro at least and learning about unlisted coins.

Meaning what, buy one of those nano usb things (cant remember the exact name)? Also, aren't they insured on CB?

Yes it's fine to use anon. Wife got into crypto in September 2020 and only used Coinbase (pro) and a 100-200 or so a week from work.
Se went over 20k last week and never bought anywhere except for Coinbase (pro)

Those are the best option, but you can also use a desktop wallet, like exodus.

>desktop wallet, like exodus
I thought about that but it seemed more risky really due to malware since the home PC has nowhere near the security than say CB. I'll have to look into it. thanks anon.
