sorry anon. also, I've had this though before, and I don't know that the two are directly comprable. modern corporations are inextricably intertwined into the fabric government, at least in america, but are still treated, and largely behave, as a separate entity. I would say that it more closely resembles a branch of government, the same way you could consider the military to be.

To the extent that a monarchy may be defined as an unusually effective and aggressive real estate company, corporations appear to partially meet this definition (either on the net or in the real world). Presently they do not quite have the means to conquer in a conventional way and generally must appease/bribe the nation states to whom they are ostensibly subordinate in the power hierarchy. They are definitely trying to achieve monarchic-level power, though, and are increasingly close to getting it.

It's scary how many people are corporate schills scrolling my linkedin in feed.

I recently interviewed at amazon and studying for the behavioral portion of the interview was spooky. Interweave leadership principles with your stories, etc...

I don't think they are monarchies but there has been a maximalist shift empowering corporations.

Selling the idea of minimalism is counterproductive. If people actually followed it there will be less goods consumed in the future and that's a net positive. But humans are dumb so we'll just keep consuming forever until there's nothing left to consume. Which is why we must spread to the Stars like a plague

See youre so right and yet this industry tries to brand itself as "innovative". Blind obedience to company "culture" is required bar none while you grind out a solution to some minute part to a FAANG's product. At the size these companies are more focus is put on displacing competition and consuming entire markets segments with their scale.

TFW "Minimalism" as a cultural aesthetic is itself a commercialization of the traditional Asian/African visual culture to which Marie Kondo is actually restoring the spiritual animism which the West forgot in its adoption.
