2941720 No.2941720 [Reply] [Original]

They now force me to do basic verification or get assraped in withdrawal fees.
Can I simply put false verification information in bittrex? I dont want them to link my identity to Bittrex.

Any thoughts?

Daily, they changed it recently from 1 btc.
I think this might have to do with the BTC split situation. IRS probably wants a cut.
I never had to file any personal information.
Now they are asking for street address and personal information.

I use poloniex for day trading and bittrex for some long positions.
This does make me change my my mind about bittrex.

I should start using decentralized exchanges.

>>2941806
This is false, I have 2fa activated.
They want your information.
Also, I hate the fact that they didnt warn me in advance.

No, unless you provide your name and address and last 4 digits of social security number.
I have 2fa and the limit is still 0.025 BTC per day.

>IRS probably wants a cut.

Transferring money off an exchange isn't taxable. You have to literally convert it to fiat before it can be taxed.

Considering how small the crypto industry currently is in the big picture, you'd have to be retarded to think the IRS is pulling off NSA-tier operations to catch the small fraction of the market that's being cashed out in the US without being reported. Even if they were, monitoring Bittrex sure as hell isn't going to help them.

Just throwing this out there because maybe it could be useful for someone else. I did it
.
dunno where to go, but you can check the rate of doge coins on different exchanges or some other coin, find one as close to the other as possible or buy and wait, buy doges with btc from one exchange, move the dogs into the other exchange and sell for btc.
Doge transaction times are reasonably fast and what you lose is arbitrage is worth less than what you would lose transfering the btcs out of the exchange. i think 900 doges transfered was like 2 doges in fees, moving a btc instead of doge would cost more than the amount i transfered in the first place.

>> No.2942032

>>2942014
It would take me a lot of days to transfer my 1 btc worth though. 40 days also 40 times fees.

I just told you, you need to find and exchange that will let you cash out and also sells a coin you can convert to before converting back

.find exchange that wont bust your dick
.check prices of coin your converting to on both exchanges (in my case doge)
.Convert 1 btc on bittrex into doge
,send doge to new exchange for a low fee
.cash out dog for 1 btc
.remove btc without being raped *

* I can't tell you any exchange that wouldnt fee rape you, i havent looked hard enough.

Its not about withdrawal fees.
Its about the fact that I can only withdraw 0.025 BTC worth of coins daily.

If I were to change my coins to doge it would still take me 40 days.

Giving them fake info is probably not a good idea if the account is already linked to your real IP or bitcoin addresses that you use for other things.

Bittrex just admitted they don't actually hold the bitcoin you're sending.
Have fun paying fees back and forth and on every trade so they can invest your bitcoin and potentially lose it all :^)

>> No.2944434

They will probably adjust this later on, if they do not it will give rise to more decentralized exchanges.

They would be giving up their monopoly, at the moment bittrex and others are popular because they are fast and an easy way to trade crypto

If the IRS meddles to much trying to get a piece of the cake you'll wind up with a decentralized 0 regulated exchange which would make matters worse for them.

I do hope the IRS continues to push for stupid shit like this so we get truly decentralized exchange.
