Yeah it's not like google/apple/microsoft is selling all of your data already. This is mostly a way to get ad revenue they encourage their community to watch ads so they get money to build their infrastructure or so they claim. I'd bet they get tons of investment with promises of 100mil users who all are active daily (once so it's not a lie) and they're at 13 mil with big growth through facebook normies. And when all of this falls on it's face they thank their investors for the 3 years they got paid for and that they are very very sorry this went nowhere and they truly tried real hard to make it work but it just didn't pan out.
