>U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen described bitcoin as “highly speculative asset” that is extremely inefficient for transactions. Speaking at a New York Times event, Yellen called the amount of energy consumed in processing those transactions “staggering.”
Is this right ? It didn't sound right. The electricity is for the security isn't it ? Like a transaction could have consensus between only 2 nodes but it wouldn't be as secure as between 10 nodes or 100 nodes. Aren't the new and upcoming networks proof of stake mostly too instead of proof of work ? That would cut down on electricity. She probably got paid a million dollars for her speech too.

It’s called a long dick dip, only people with 8+ inches are able to catch the bottom.

We haven't even stopped dropping yet, it might just keep going. DeFi and people trading on margin are basically a powder keg waiting to be lit up whenever the price starts dropping.

As the price goes up, people start leveraging, they leverage by 10 and 25 and 50x, then when there's a minor 3% dump the latter is already liquidated and then the former two follow shortly after until net leverage is down across the board.

1. Yellen is a cunt
2. Bitcoin is PoW only and there is no effort to make it PoS. Other coins are PoS. Yes PoW is difficult and costly, that's the point; traditional finance is just as bad desu. I hear no one bitching about literal skyscrapers around the world consoooming energy and changing the climate of cities

Poor and new fag here.
I caught the dip on bitcoin, eth, bitcoin cash, and litecoin. Gave me a nice little morning bump. I don't think you missed the real bottom though. But I really don't know squat.

No idea, I'm just clowining on the concept of getting loans on stablecoins using crypto as a collateral. A big drop could mean a lot of people getting liquidated on their positions and basically everyone involved getting fucked, since the model basically assumes that you're making tons of money until the market starts dropping.
