I'm sick of living in this comformist, calvinistic shithole. This country is incredibly boring, and the culture really pushes everyone to ''fit in''. If you make it with crypto (2MM+), what are you going to do with that money while living here? There's nothing to do really. The most ''exciting'' thing dutch people do is buy a small boat and travel over the canals in the summer. Meanwhile I have a friend in the south of France who isn't even wealthy but gets to jet ski everyday, go out to beach clubs, can travel to Switzerland to ski and much more.

The problem in the Netherlands is the insane housing prices. I still live with my parents as a 26yo. I wanted to move to Amsterdam, but renting there is like 1500 euros for a decent appartment. How is that allowed? Salaries are like 25000-3000 net. So you have 1500 after paying your rent. Then there's utilities, mandatory insurance, taxes for throwing your garbage away (wtf?) and what not. So in the end you are left with maybe 500 euros actually disposable income.

It's garbage. Some 50 years ago you could buy pic related on a single income. Now, only millionaires can live there. The Dutch dream is dead. The country is decaying faster then ever. Politicians are just lying scumbags. We have 10 YEARS of "liberal" politics and they are still artificially keeping up housing shortage so all the boomers (which is the majority of the eligibile votes) see an increase in their housing price. We have a shortage of 300.000 homes.

THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND. And instead of JUIST BUILDING SHIT they impose laws "no you can't build there, too much CO2 will enter the atmosphere". Meanwhile, we (TAX PAYERS) are fucking bailing out KLM, aviation being the most polluting industry. The problem is that the people who vote and get on TV and have a say in matter and what not, are privileged. I'm not some crybaby faggot, but it's fact that most of them are born into a family which own a house. Maybe 2 children. So they inherit a house, which they can sell for super inflated prices and get a headstart at competing in this insane housing market. Everything listed is being sold for +10% ask because people have money. Yet wages are stagnant for years and in most industries barely keeping up with inflation. So the money is all "old" passing on to the next generation which get like a ticket to get in front of the line.

Meanwhile, if you aren't born in wealth or your parents didn't buy property, you are basically two steps back in life. Even if you have proper education like a uni degree or what not. So what do people do, they commit fraud to be eligible for social housing and never get out of it. Never. Because in social housing you can get an actual house for like 500-700€ for "poor people". But those people aren't poor anymore either, but the difference between buying a house, renting private sector and social housing is so big there is NO WAY they will get out if they aren't forced to.

So there's congestion at the bottom layer and at the upper layer there is massive price inflation AND a housing shortage. So imagine a new house gets sold, maybe the parents died. It's 300K. This goes to the child, after taxes and what not maybe 250K. He can immediately use this to move to a house/appartment he like. Can probably get some mortgage too if the person works. So he overbids on everything with +10% because WHO THE FUCK CARES. He has the money. Now all other interested parties think "wtf, I offered fair value, I need to overpay too". And this happens ad infinitum. A friend of mine bought a house like 3 years ago and sold it with +30% markup. THIRTY percent in 3 years. That's insane. Alright, so there must be a gap right? Market effects and what not. Between social housing and buying a house, there is a private sector which must be priced "farily". Well, due to the shortage of housing this is like the wild west. And people need to live somewhere anyway, so they can pull it off. Insane rent prices for appartments/houses you wouldn't want to be found dead. But people have no choice so they pay for it. It's so lucrative, that we have a very specific term for it "huisjesmelker" (house milker). Buying property to rent it out is so lucrative, which adds even more heat to the already inflated housing prices.

And there were almost ZERO policies to counter ANY of this for TEN YEARS whilst they saw it coming YEARS ago. Only this year, they added some extra tax for buying 1+n properties.
