It's been a roller coaster of emotions, /biz/. I don't know if I can take it any longer.

I bought $20 worth of buttcoins when they were going for $700 each. I've already lost over 25% of my initial investment, and it just keeps getting worse. Every now and then I get a false glimmer of hope and the price goes up, then it goes right back down again.

I think this is what they call the day trader feels. Whatever it is, I'm feeling it.

Imo for bitcoin to gain value it'll need more adoption as a currency. I don't honestly see this happening anytime soon. And there is also the risk of orgaisations such as banks creating thier own digital currency to compete in that time frame.

What these charts don't take into account is public knowledge of bitcoin. After 2013 every speculator across the globe knew about bitcoin, meaning the speculative move was over. They aren't going to rediscover bitcoin and invest again, therefore price rises will come from increased utility in bitcoin (it can be used more places ect).

They may have heard about bitcoin but many are still holding out investing until the regulatory environment is clear.

There is another large group of investors who don't like the risk involved, once the risk becomes manageable (insured btc holdings) then you will see the next bubble inflate. As it stands today start-ups around the globe are building the infrastructure btc needs for the next round of investment.

Adoption is increasing daily, to deny this you lose all credibility in bitcoin discussion.

You expect Bitcoin to hit all new crazy highs.

If that is true, then the same exact will be true of Litecoin.

There hasn't been a single time where Litecoin and Bitcoin deviated from one another. If Bitcoin reaches $10,000+, then that would mean Litecoins would hit $200+.
