Luckily wife was on board the whole time. Are you guys friendly to newcomers here?
I played the crypto game for a while but after a lot of energy and stress I have nothing to really show for it. At least I didn't lose anything, but I want to get into a strategy that isn't actively killing me even if it's a much slower burn.
Besides resources in the OP, where would you personally recommend starting? Only have a few grand from my poorfolio to work with right now so gold probably isn't the best idea.
Pic for tax, that's where I'm starting. Those plus 8oz of wheat pennies are the most interesting pieces from the coin collection my uncle left me.

Welcome to the comfiest and friendliest thread on /biz/, newfren. Everyone has a different approach but you can't go /wrong/ unless you're buying stupid meme coins for $15 over spot. You can choose generic coins for lower premiums but also lower resale value or sovereign coins for higher premiums that retain value a little better. There's also large 10oz+ bars that have even lower premiums.
Personally I'm more of a silver is silver guy and mainly stick to generics to get as many ounces as possible but like I said there's no real objectively wrong way to do it.

Being early is the price you pay for asymetrical investments. Want that 100x? you going to have to be right, your going to have to be early, and your going to have to hold through some bullshit.

I was invested a major asymmetrical play very early, but i didnt have the patience to wait to see it through, and guess what? I cucked myself out of over $2 million. I was right. I just wasnt wasnt patient enough, and didnt see the big picture. I'll never make that mistake again.

If there’s a short squeeze on silver, all the banks will fail. Every single one. Eight of them are short silver and they would have to pay trillions to cover shorts if silver got to triple digits. The entire financial system will be destroyed if you do this. Silver is to the banks what GME is to Melvin Capital. Is this what you want to happen when we’re in the middle of a pandemic? If the banks fall apart you will wipe out every single person who is holding dollars. What the hell is wrong with you. America will be destroyed. If you do this, don't think that we won't take away your silver just as we disabled your manipulated short squeeze stocks you unAmerican traitors. Also buying silver is an Anti-Semitic. Good point, Perth Mint is a couple bucks cheaper than bullionnow (and that's a couple bucks cheaper than GBA).

I'm not going to worry too much about junk, I've got my own workshop here in SA with a gas furnace as well as presses. So, if I need to I can make my own out of that big bar lol.

Where can you get junk here anyway beyond ebay?

Fellow based SA poster, yeah Ebay is the only place really, most cash converters/cashzones will have some on hand occasionally, but you're better off in a big antiques bazaar, most of them haven't changed their prices in a few years and will be excited to trade at spot with it being so high.

this anon is predicting an apocalypse scenario, but we already know what weimar looked like and it didnt look like a hollywood movie. assets like silver are fine, but you should always diversify your investments. The single most valuable thing will be skills, you can barter for goods in exchange for services and leave our currencies entirely if the worst happens. learn carpentry or something, even if its just as a hobby.
