Just wanted to now. If it is worth getting into this for someone like me
who does art as pic related (I'm no sakimichan level but I make around 2000 USD on Patreon and commissions alone)

tbqh I don't see the point of this, For example I can make around 30 variations on a single piece and offer the source file and I know that has some value: The source file can be used to make a high quality print and the variations contain nudes and other differences that are not available in my public low rez versions

But what gives value to a NFT? Do I make an unique variation for the block chain and swear I'm not going to distribute it anywhere else?

You literally figured out why NFT's are going to be completely worthless in three sentences. What is stopping me from just plagiarizing art and selling it

They're collectibles. So you make an "original NFT," and then after people by that, you release it to the public. The buyers have their "originals", the public gets their free content.

that would have to be built in to the cost
think about it

if some dummy offered you her 'art' (pic related) for 10 dollars, you'd use it, copy it, and try to resell it.

if some retard offered you her art for '1000' you'd try and monetize it much differently, or not monetize it at all

basically cheap = copy
expensive = people protect

This is part of it. The NFT product is the digital art + the authentication which traces it back to you. Only the authenticated art will be usable in the NFT ecosystem.

Just go to OpenSea and make your own NFT as a test. More efficient than Q&A. https://opensea.io/blog/announcements/introducing-the-collection-manager/

Yeah you'll definitely make money out there as an NFT creator. Post here when you make em I'll buy some.

it's on the blockchain. One NFT is basically a token in and of itself. Buying, trading, selling is all done on the chain so no one can dupe your OG tokens. Now, people would be able to make their own tokens and just copy your art. But you'll always be the original and that can be proven in the chain.

I would straight up buy these. You'll make a killing if you have any kind of following and get 10% on resale.

The funniest thing ever is /biz/ the crypto board not understanding NFTs... which are crypto for digital goods.

You can now own the original of a digital good because it's cryptographically signed. They now have value that can't be diluted via copying, torrents, etc.

I've seen two examples. The first being one token, one piece; essentially the guts of your take, trying to adapt traditional art commerce to a digital marketplace.
The other doesn't pertain to the file itself, but instead represents the copyright on the piece. Instead of archiving murky email strings to establish relationship between artist and patron, you simply mint and send a token containing the uses. Maybe a number of tokens, like for patreon tiers.
Perhaps this would be excessive for fapbait. But concept art, vTuber models, and program scripts are perfect use cases for this. I could actually name a lawsuit per example off the top of my head this would prevent.

Yeah it's hilarious that all the normans hopped into crypto once it was about trading cards. They don't even know that WAX or ETH is crypto, they just know they have to buy it to trade it's crazy.
