its value of ETH in BTC
so yes, it rose versus last year
but on the whole it did nothing but crash
you'd be much better off if you held bitcoin instead so far
with recent months of LINK it's the same thing

unless you time the market, but that's hard

So? You can hold ETH as "le store of value" the same way you gold BTC.

inb4
>muh fixed 21m cap muh eth inflation
BTC is still in its inflationary stage and will be for many years. Meanwhile it is very likely that ETH becomes deflationary in the near future, before BTC even reaches its cap.

Actually, it's very good for Ethereum. The higher the price, the more secure the network under Proof-of-Stake, as it then costs more to attack. This does NOT translate into higher gas fees, as gas fees are simply the result of a free-market system bidding on processor time/memory space in the world computer; ETH could be $0.01 and fees could still cost hundreds, or ETH could be $1,000,000 with fees of a few cents. Ethereum is divisible to 14 decimal places, btw.
