So i know now to look at the dollar value of the coin to predict how it will go. What do i look at ? New technologies being developed around a certain coin ? Market Cap ? Also Market cap means bigger = better or what ?

it's about how many tokens are available to buy or sell on the market, which is constantly in flux. calculating based on max supply is retarded. consider de beers and diamonds. diamonds are plentiful and they are mined all around the world. however, most diamonds are sitting in vaults and aren't on the market. the value of diamonds is kept artificially high in this way.

generally it helps if you look at volumes. that will tell you how actively the token is traded and thus how liquid the asset is. just be wary that some tokens have bad actors who create fake volumes.
