Why is Keynesianism the de-facto global economic policy over Austrian economics?

>> No.29263385

>>29263296
Austrian school of thought wants their gold monies to go up so they encourage reckless policy.

It's in the interests of big banks and governments, who decide which school of thought reigns supreme simply because that's where the funding and all the money in general comes from.... Banks create money from nothing and loan it out at interest, governments steal it and preside over their subjects like they are tax cattle. Of course a school of thought that facilitates parasitism would be selected by both interests which align with one another. Yes politics can corrupt whole disciplines.

>Why do governments support an economic policy that promotes government growth over one that opposes it?

>> No.29264837

Because people care about the here and now and not the future

>> No.29264899

Keynesianism supports the status quo and the economic status quo lobbies the hardest to support Keynesianism.

This by the way is one of the reasons why bitcoin was invented, because the idea of petitioning government to adopt sound money policies is laughably naive given democracy is not really "rule by the people" or some such vague nonsense that people are left believing from public school teachings. If it were possible to implement sound (hard) money policies democratically there would be no need for bitcoin.

>> No.29264998

There is nothing wrong with Keynesian as long as the government isn't corrupt... yeah
