The only way for XMR to to “take off” is either a) a guy like Elon starts shilling it or b) An XMR ETF product is developed similar to GBTC. Truthfully, both would need to occur for the coin to seriously gain traction, as I agree with you that most normies wouldn’t be bothered to run a node/or even install the GUI. An ETF product would be a win/win for the powers that be, as they will make money on the expense fee, will be able to better control the price, and normies would not benefit from the privacy component. I think an ETF is wishful thinking, but that being said, I think we could expect $500-$700 XMR if the broader bull run continues. XMR correlates highly with LTC price performance, so generally speaking, wherever LTC goes, XMR will follow (and vice versa).

It will still be able to be traced. Lightning is literally banking 2.0, why bother with BTC then? There is no point to it. Coinjoin can be traced, it is using XMR old way of doing things before ringCT, it does not work very well.

Also it can be shutdown since it is an actual service, and this has happened before.

BTC cannot be fixed. It is permanently broken.

It's only use is as a currency. Buy and use before the 90day burn is triggered. BTC is better because you can hold it.

Some do, a lot don't due to poor fundamentals. The veterans on r/darknet are pretty anti-BTC, can't wait for it to finally be gone.

It does brainlet. XMR is privacy. Bitcoin is not. There is no point in using XMR if you disclose your amount.

They'll definitely make improvements but it'll never be as reliably private and fungible as Monero, its why Bitcoin is dying a slow death on the darknet, those folks ain't ever going to trust it again.

The old one did, they're apparently more restrictive about certain "specifics" now on r/darknet.

YES! Hence the reason why it's private. You either send it away or it gets destroyed.

It won't dissapear lmao. That would mean the total supply would be very little for XMR. Check coinmarketcap for the total supply and XMR inflation curve and you will understand it makes no sense.

>trading xmr on an exchange
lol.

Also, for all you inept newfag mooners itt, xmr is, quite literally, tied to ltc. normies will never view either of these altcoins as being "the one" and the coin prices will always reflect this uninformed opinion of the majority. have fun holding!
