If bitcoin hits 100k, I'm officially worth $3m and will retire. However, this is not a certainty, and I'm considering pulling out now at 55k.

What are your thoughts on this ? Will BTC hit 100k this bullrun ?

3 milli is at the very least 120k a year in the most safe investments imaginable (s&p). The good part is that you also will be protected from any inflation level since stocks pump with any QE/money printing so your earnings will be higher if inflation ramps up.

We are close to touching the top of the peak regression band, but this time it's probably gonna play out differently with all this buying pressure.

So overall, the math that is based on previous bull cycles says sell at 58k-80k because that's gonna be the peak, but the problem is that it's probably bad data at this point.

> $3M
> retire
> negative interest rates

Anon, your problems will just begin.
The boomer advice was that $1M was enough to retire because 5% interest on $1M in T-bills would pay you a 50K a year, i.e. a living wage.
Then it was upped to $3M because inflation.
Except with negative interest rates, that scenario no longer works. Does not matter if you have $1M or $10M, inflation will eat your principal.
Also hyperinflation is on the horizon.
I'm Eastern Euro, my dad had equivalent of $100K in the bank in January 1990, by December he was down to like $5K.
This is why /pmg/ is stacking metal like crazy.
Worst case is you run out of money when you are 70, no other income, unable to work, and forced to anhero.
You have $3M, now your homework is how to secure that $3M and this is not easy at all.
Ironically keeping it in crypto is not a bad idea at all.

a. on the way up, selling portions
b. when btc starts losing major support

you dont want to get greedy like when after 20k people waited for it to get touched again to sell at exact top and ended holding through 3k.

imo this isnt a bad place to start selling as nobody with a right mind is willing to pay over 50k for a digital coin and no retail will fight over fractions of a coin like media would want you to believe.

OP is worried that bitcoin and maybe crypto in general is a bubble and or ponzi scheme thaht will eventually end and that will take everything invested in it
'
How secure is bitcoin's future? is our interaction with it liable for sabotage and or government control? or being compromised in some other way? like maybe there some sort of mechanism for "reset"ting society in what could be called a "great" manner.

I personally think, in this day and age 10 million is the "made it" retirement number. More than enough to live off the interest alone while keeping the rest in conservative investments. Then you can either hermit in your dream home or travel the world at leisure (a personal dream of mine)

3 million is fine, obviously, but it can go fast if you're careless or something goes horribly wrong outside your control (car accident, loved one gets super expensive disease, some epic global disaster, etc)
