29174167 No.29174167 [Reply] [Original]

I've got like 650K USD in crypto and I need a 10x so fucking bad. The "ghetto" keeps moving closer to where I live. I don't have enough to diversify into a home yet. I can't take out a mortgage because Ohio lenders have a rule where they deduct 1% of your total student loan debt regardless of the your monthly payment from your monthly gross earnings and I don't make much. I basically worked OT everyday to get the initial to buy the crypto and basically ignored my student loans. Now it worked because that money grew exponentially fast than my loan interest. Not to mention if I sell off the assets then I owe taxes and miss the entire bull run. I fucking hate renting but it was cheap and allowed me to actually save money to dump into crypto 4 years ago. I would have been fucked anyway if suddenly I needed a new roof or large emergency expense for the house I'm just so tired. I'm so close but the next 10 months will feel like 10 years. REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

My family lives here and I don't want to leave the state. Most of the overdoses are from people who lost jobs that were excellent pay and all that remained was McDonald's etc because the politicians and CEOs sold us out to China and cheap foreign labor.

Incredibly low cost of living part of the reason I was able to save money besides living frugal and not liking drugs or alcohol. The farther west the safer it is but that is changing too. I'm not afraid of getting shot or anything but south and east Akron your home will get broken into for sure. The north is slightly better than east and south. This is my motivation. They understand things are getting worse/harder but I don't think they truly understand how bad things are going to be unless you are privileged by the end of the decade. I know you are going to laugh but it was around 35K. I basically came to the conclusion that with what I was earning I'd be paying it off forever and then have no capital after 30 years of paying on it. So instead I managed to save 15K in one year and then actively started trading and investing and 4 years later I have 650K. I more or less did the opposite of ALL advice I've heard. I'd be in a way worse position if I paid it off sadly. Traditional financial advice is actually terrible.
