It takes insight and balls of steel to make it in crypto don't let anyone tell you otherwise

I was attracted to buying BTC early through my interest in Austrian economics... I became interested in Austrian econ due to my anti-war positions leading me to investigate the banking system and monetary econ...

Graduated highschool in 2007 and as a burger was curious about just how and why all the middle east warmongering could be so disconnected from public interest and keep on going. That lead me to a chain of philosophical investigations that have basically lasted until today. I was just pursuing the truth with no expectation of personal benefit of any kind, but that nonetheless lead me to bitcoin in 2015 (knew of it sooner of course but delayed buying out of caution like most)

But yeah totally lucky that I wasn't born a midwit normie I guess.

Anyone who thinks it's anything other than luck will not only lose all their money but deserve it too.

The crypto graveyards are littered with solid projects and working products, and the top 100 list is littered with garbage, vaporware, and literal joke coins.

Obviously there is a degree of prudence required, but anyone who thinks its not mainly luck is clearly someone who is either a narcissist or a chronic underachiever with self esteem issues using it as a way to boost their ego.

Based. Took me 3 years, endless gains, endless dips, and finally... selling too early. That last part was the ultimate black pill. Accumulated BTC for over 3 years to get to 0.5 (I know I know) and sold in December around 15k for 134% returns. I then took out a 25k loan, consolidated all my previous debt, and bought 0.5 again at 38k. I will NEVER sell ever again.

fags kept trying to tell me I was just getting lucky but after picking LINK (that one I give /biz/ credit for), PNK, RSR and HBAR almost a year ago I am now convinced that I really am just really good at this

I don't think that view holds.
It's not luck that you held through all the bullshit. You have to have a mental fortitude, not found in the average norman, that allows you to delay your gratification impulses and keep calm during extreme and sudden drops in price.
Finding the right coin can be luck, but holding it until it's worth something or to the point of 'making it' requires some real will power.
UNIRONICALLY.

Spending hours if not days sifting through shitposts, pepes, the word nigger and developing near psychosis reading shit constantly to find the next moon. Yea it's luck. Nothing personal kid.

Meh a gayer lefty way of putting it would be to say "the crypto currency community" because the word community is that meaningless to them that it can be applied to everything

90+% of people in crypto got lucky. People make a couple bets and make a quick million and think they know what they are doing. If they were good then it would be easy to ride multiple moonshots to a 8+ figure net worth by now, especially with leverage. But the people that do that are probably too mature to be triggered by being called lucky to seethe about it in threads like this.
