Yeah. I was afraid to drive because a single repair for anything costs like $300 which would have basically bankrupted me. Luckily, some of my coins mooned.

I honestly don't understand it.
I work a shit job making ~35k a year. I can't afford a lot of things I want. But I'm not living in abject poverty.

There are people who I work with, same wage I make, who take out short term loans to pay for basic necessities. When their car breaks down their life is thrown into total chaos because now they can't afford food.
I tell them I have 15k invested in crypto and they look at me like I'm Elon Musk.

I dont know what went wrong. There is a massive segment of our population that seems to be completely incapable of delaying gratification or resisting the slightest temptation.

Look up how much an average college graduate makes their first year and then compare to what they made in 60 years ago. Adjusted for inflation, wages were higher over $8,000 higher back then. BUT the price of everything has gone up dramatically so it isn't even close.

This is not surprising to me at all. I am in the military as an enlisted engineer. I make maybe ~48k after taxes a year. I have a wife who doesn't work and stays at home. We have two vehicles, we just took a trip before the coof, we can afford to eat out often (we mostly eat out things we can't make at home i.e. sushi), she goes to university and I can buy hobby related things often.

Almost every single one of my coworkers are in debt. They refuse to buy used cars, I bought a 2007 chevy silverado cash when two of them got jeep truck (?) with all the upgrades for ~52k. They spend so much money on nigger shoes. They constantly are eating fast food. They go out and pay for overpriced drinks that I mix at home to get my wife drunk.

None of them invest in anything. One guy said he put 3k into doge coin when it was 8 cents and I told him he was a fucking mongoloid. I have money in crypto that if it disappeared I would still have fiat in my savings that could sustain us for ~7 months including insurance/food/shelter/etc while I found more work. It is absolutely ridiculous how much of America has bought into consumerism.

The thing that drains the most out of my money is fucking rent. I have to move every 4 years usually for work, so owning around a military base is shit. Nothing is nice around a military base. Granted, they give me a stipend for rent every month, but to keep my wife from not being around blacks, we live in something that is over the stipend they give us. I have to leave for months sometimes so I want my truck parked somewhere safe as well.

I'm an absolute retard but even I can manage to have a few grand in savings when I'm done blowing all my cash on fast food and the most retarded stock swings imaginable. While on the other hand my roommate makes more than I do and they're still in eternal debt because they abused credit cards and spend $30+ on fast food every week along with god only knows how much in anime merch instead of just dumping that cash into their card payments to lower the total interest. It's insanity.

Kek, greetings from the Netherlands, where the entirety of the population transfered 3.8 billion towards their savings account in april 2020 alone. I absolutely loathe the poorer European countries for their shit money management skills, and having to share in the Corona debt we are accumulating. Screenshot includes (Dutch) statistics of our average and median savings per age group. The first column row says up to 25 years old, the rest you can decipher on your own if you're not retarded.

That's a comfy lifestyle, though not really traditional, the stay-at-home housewife is an early 20th-century invention, when industrial output was high enough for households to be sustained by one income. Before that, women did various odd jobs, helped in the fields, etc.

>that's normal, America was an anomaly at the time because because ww2 destroyed europe's industry
That's a europoor cope. Americans were much richer well before the world wars. Europeans would come to american and be amazed at how well fed and clothed the poor were in America. Americans would show up at the worlds fair and blow everyone away with technology decades ahead of everyone else
WW2 could only destroy Europe because Germany and Japan vastly underestimated the industrial capacity of the US.
To this day america has 20 times more tech companies than Europe

That only shows that college educations have become worthless. if everyone gets one, it doesn't mean anything anymore. Average wages in general have not gone down.
