So realistically when is this shit gonna end? I'm betting on bitcoin hitting around 70k before it falls apart.

I'm confused as fuck, I keep seeing more and more, big money coming in and they have to know it's gotta be close to top right? My guess would be whenever Elon decides to sell it'll come crashing down hard.

Give some actual reasoning behind it OP. All the last bull runs were based on hype and momentum. This time it *is* different. Institutions like PayPal and Grayscale buying up supply faster than its produced (and production is capped by the protocol), Microstrategy, Tesla and Blackrock all investing hundreds of millions. US Stimulus on the way which will lead to global inflation.

I think you'll find it'll actually settle at a price level and not dump to the areas people are expecting (20-30k). The fundamental economics do not support this idea in the slightest. If one wants to look at the best time to cash out, then simply wait till supply on exchanges starts increasing significantly.

defi is here/coming this year, as the usd wains as the world currency all it will take is 1 (iceland) country to drop it and start a chain reaction, then we see a slow migration over to crypto over the course of 5-10 years. the only other option is a hypercrash into a great reset, into massive civil disobedience that ends with people eating the rich.

It's giving 2018 vibes. Worthless shitcoins being pumped far too high, the sharp increase in the price of BTC and it being justified with "new paradigm" talk. Long term DeFi is here to stay but it will also crash like everything at some point, a bit like how Eth crashed but is still here.

in clown world where the US dollar is being hyperinflated and swept under the rug, institutions are buying up crazy amounts of bitcoin at every dip, and everyone is looking to hedge their soon-to-be-worthless money into the massive asset bubble: the bubble will inflate until it's the size of the earth, and no one left outside the bubble will have the power to pop it

>> No.29059297

People don't think it will crash, they want it to so they can buy cheap coins, but it won't happen, from here onwards we will only go up and then eventually stagnate. >hey have to know it's gotta be close to top right?

The market isn't a breathing organism that decides on its own accord when the crash starts you fucking braindead idiot. There has to be a catalyst for rising or falling prices. Big money is not buying because prices are rising, prices are rising because big money is buying. Prices will then come back down once big money starts selling - and if they are only just buying recently, wouldn't it be logical to say we have some ways to go? Remember that a larger institution cannot simply press market sell, there has to be paperwork, proposition, the cabinet must be addressed. At absolute worst we have a few MONTHS of bullrun left. Don't forget there is dumb-institutional-money too, the smart money will dump on them as well. Before a ponzi comes down, we have to get the maximum number of players (suckers) in first.

bitcoin will peak, then eth,
then everything will collapse for another 2 to 4 years.

>> No.29060777

There won't be a crash, anon. This time is unironically different. Back in 2018 bitcoin was completely in the hands of normies. Today we have institutions adding bitcoin as part of their treasury. Institutions like for example Greyscale are currently buying up bitcoin faster than it's being mined. These institutions don't unload their gold either, they hold that shit forever.
Bitcoin is starting to mature, so it's perfectly possible that it's entering a 10 year bull phase, similar to for example the Amazon stock. Going up indefinitely with diminishing returns as it nears gold's market cap.

that's not true; the trend has been fewer and fewer buyers on the open market. what's holding up price are strong hands refusing to market dump.
any buyers on the open market are market buying but there's fewer and fewer of them showing up.

Well, that is to say if you paid less than 10k per BTC, It may not ever hit that price ever again.

IRL I had someone telling me that stacking gold at 1.5k was dumb because it's gonna be 1.2k again.

I just dont know if that is true. I don't have that much faith in the dollar. But it could happen, gold can go to $600 and BTC could go to $6000. I just don't see it happening without a huge shift.

Inb4 get a computer. Fuck you, I can’t afford one right now and don’t have one to use.

Please, help me here. I want to use this fucking exchange, but I swear it seems fucking next to impossible and everyone using it acts too cool for school to teach us damn newbies how to play. Like I feel like this is some exclusive club I am not cool enough to join, and no one wants new people to join.

"big money" doesn't buy to sell, for years at least. They're all about tax evasion and write offs. Or taking out loans on their positions, etc. If they were to be buying just like that left and right, it leaves a lot of paper trail and taxes for them to fill.
Pump is probably safe till fed is going to change their policy, in regards to money printing, lending or interest rates. As is right now, it's just free "money" for them to flush down the drain ANYWHERE including crypto.
