This is objectively false. On the contrary, on the hunt to get in earlier an earlier, ICO's became overrun. Websites crashed, Telegram groups were accumulating hundreds of posts within minutes, scams everywhere ("the addresss got leaked, send ETH to this address to get in!!!!"), and the ICOs got sold out in the matter of a few minutes. I know it, I was there, I was trying to get into pretty much any ICO I could afford (as some implemented ridiculous high ETH minimums due to demand), and it was kinda frustrating, it was like the crowds rushing stores at Black Friday, camping out at the store the night before. The crash came right when the greed was at the highest point, and I see parallels to the food token mania and the rugpull scams going on right now.

Yes, b/c there are two primary traits that define smart money: being early, and knowing when to exit. In 2017, like many others, I did well on the first point and failed completely on the second. Personally I'm still betting this run has some life in it yet, but have the exit strategy ready this time if it drops to a specific point
