No the question that was asked was Akin to “do you foresee institutions and companies come into blockchain to provide data”

It was then sergay smirked because this was 2017/2018 and he was already so far compared to his competitors.

I really think he could, yes. In fact, I believe this to be inevitable. The amount of exponential growth in the crypto sector is properly unrivaled; while people like Bezos and Musk made their fortune in the real world with real companies and products, their financial growth remained restricted by the rhythm of the boomer stock market.

I really think people; even here; don't realize what Sergey represents; the first true blood crypto CEO, who has completely cornered his own market. His ambitious and meticulous business acumen combined with the sheer compounding volatility of crypto market, is unlike anything we've seen yet.

I'm often theorizing about the power of "the third wave". The third time, is when you see things with a certain certitude. Would you have thrown your life savings at BTC in 2009? No, because it was too fringe, too risky, and you would have missed the first bullrun. Would you have thrown your life savings at ETH in 2015? It happened once, but will it happen again? It was probably too good to be true, so you had to be conservative. In 2018, I threw all my savings at LINK. Because I knew. With certitude. "3rd time's a charm"...

And he knew too. And he acted on it, with unparalleled ambition.
The first wave: Satoshi wasn't a CEO; how much did he pocket for himself? Perhaps he even died soon after.
The second wave: Vitalik was a tech visionary, a math wizard, but he never understood Business with a capital B. Didn't keep much, sold early.
The third wave: A ruthless yet modest CEO, with 2/3 of the supply kept to sustain long-term growth, and a x100 is just the beginning of his journey at only 32yo. Even without accounting for LINK, he'd be a BTC billionaire today; but he'll keep going because driven by his Vision. And his vision is that chart with cryto/defi as a little blue dot and the market to capture as thousands of little blue dots. The entire financial sector.

He will not stop until he realizes his vision. There's no one like him.

This success is a combination of
Him being early and a visionary / in a space of opportunistic copycats
Him being honest / in a space of grifters
Him being professional / in a space of amateurs

The combination of honesty and professionalism is unparalleled in this space; it's what drew "us" to him, it's what makes him such a great leader, it creates a positive feedback loop, developing more connections, growing a following, etc. Even for all his flaws, it's what people saw in Musk years ago, and let me ask you: how many people like this do you see in crypto?

He has this human quality that's difficult to describe, this ability to loyally federate genuine and high IQ people around him and to inspire beyond hype, perhaps due to his philosophical nature.
Hoskinson is an insecure narcissist, Sergey is modest and wholesome.
Vitalik is a weird autist constantly spewing retarded takes, Sergey only speaks to say meaningful things.
There are other high profile crypto CEOs who are just suits. Lubin, Mashinsky, etc. or just in it for themselves, CZ, Armstrong, etc.

In a space that's at the crossroad of tech and finance, he's the rare person who can speak to both a biz or a dev oriented person on an equal level; to a F500 CTO or a small hackathon dev. Can you imagine Hoskinson or Vitalik with a bank executive?

For all the 'stuttering pothead' memes, he's actually a terrific speaker and an even more brilliant thinker, thinking deeply about all the potential implications of smart contract and being able to communicate clearly and passionately without getting lost in far-fetched techno-babble, and without ever displaying behavior of poor taste.

A brilliant strategist, a brilliant networker, a brilliant leader.

If you remember the oracle panel in the OP, it was already obvious. He utterly owned that room.

The moderator was asking about how will panel of oracle operators facilitate an easy transfer and integration for enterprise and institutional use. It was clear that none of them had even contemplated that the necessity of attracting fortune 500 companies let alone started even doing it. Meanwhile Sergey had already developing business relationships with them for years by that point. These guys were all developers and were lauding how great their code was for each of their projects. Meanwhile Sergey created a decentralized network of oracles that will eventually absorb everything. He didn't even have to have necessarily the outright best code. None of them even understood why decentralization was even necessary. It still boggles my mind how far ahead he was of everyone there but then again it makes sense because hes in the space for over a decade and is probably Satoshi or part of the group. It was the first time he ever broke composure and let that smug smirk leak out. I watched this the day it came out and bought 7K LINK after it. I have 22K total that but it was one of my largest buys in a single purchase.
