Posted in the last thread for zero replies, still want some opinions on my latest dumb idea:

Borrow $6,000 from my 401k right now, invest the money in my Roth IRA to max it out for the year. My Roth IRA can invest in anything, so I can be much more aggressive with my investments there than in my 401k (can only access Vanguard Target Date funds in my 401k).

Pay my 401k back the 6 grand, which makes me pay myself 4.5% interest over the course of the year in addition to the principal.

I already max out both accounts every year, basically I'd just be front loading into more aggressive investments at the cost of an extra $275/paycheck into my 401k.

What does /smg/ think? Am I retarded or is this an interesting play?

It would have HAD to be calls (and not puts hedging) because he bought to close that leg (not sell to close like a put).
Overall he bought to close a debit position and didn't lose money because we know he made 10 million dollars around that time and HELD onto 20-30 million dollars in equity which he didn't close. So it makes no sense that he was bearish. I stand by what I said that he did NOT buy to close and he wasn't "forced out" of his position.
