Should i buy this ?

>> No.28965565

>>28965343
Unironically yes

>> No.28966051

Do it today and stake it, if you want to get airdropped tomorrow. Do whatever you want after that.

>> No.28966468

>>28966051
you sure it has to be staked?

>> No.28966585

It's a risk I've gambled a large chunk of my assets on.
Stargate releases tomorrow.
That may make it moon. It may also dive.
Decide for yourself if that's worth the risk.

>> No.28966676

>>28966585
To add to that, even if it does dive, you can quickly sell and buy at the bottom, because the effects of stargate should make it rise eventually

>> No.28966780

>>28966468
No, but the project lead hinted something like "holding is good, staking is better" when talking about the potential airdrop. So I'm going to assume you get more if you're actively delegating.

>>28966585
Why is stargate a big deal? Isn't it just a performance upgrade?

>> No.28967095

>>28966784
Not just a performance upgrade. But it will allow the ENTIRE Cosmos network to talk to one another and also allow Cosmos blockchains to be written in Javascript lowers the barrier of entry to blockchain because Javascript is one of the most well known languages out there

>> No.28967195

>>28966676
not if you are staking tho

What's the difference between this and QNT?

>> No.28967329

>>28967207
One is the underlying platform for the whole binance smartchain and the other isn't.

>> No.28967790

ATOM shills, riddle me this: Why this and not DOT?

DCA at 24 and 19.

>> No.28968328

What wallet can I use to stake ATOM?

Entirely different products. Read:
https://medium.com/coinmonks/polkadot-vs-cosmos-vs-ethereum-2-0-for-real-idiots-3b6f0e0cfb2f

If you really care to learn.
There is not going to be just one blockchain.
Cosmos belongs in every portfolio.

>> No.28968503

I only have a poorlet 150 stack of ATOM :(

>> No.28968509

>>28968328
Cosmostation is the most fully featured.
Keplr is more similar to Metamask.

>> No.28968764

>>28967207
QNT has overledger which I believe is an OS. I'm assuming it would require widespread adoption. I sold QNT and went in to Atom, I hope I made the right call. I'm way up already....

tl;dr

staking 31 atom here, comfy, though slightly concerned this will result in a mega dump and the 21 day window makes that a bit fucky, but is what it is

>> No.28969767

>mega dum
This is a large cap coin, so I'm not so worried about it. I'm in this for the long haul, not just the air drop.

So Cosmos is currently like ETH 2.0.
Unironically ETH is trying to become ETH 2.0, in a few years.
Stargate will make Cosmos ETH 3.0 and could integrate all other blockchains including ETH/BTC. Many ETH devs have already jumped ship
