Is this shit a scam? I've seen it mentioned on /biz/ several times already, but I can't wrap my head around it. The tech looks solid, team is doxxed, but the manner I've seen it shilled in here makes me feel a bit uneasy. What's your take on this /biz/bros? Should I get a bag? Price seems to be stable at the moment.

Not a scam. Yes, get a bag.

How is this shilling if I'm just trying to get an answer here? You think this is a scam too?

>> No.28960134

yes it is a scam. every thread is super forced. think about anon, they want to destroy your bitcoin in exchange for their erc-20 token.

not a scam anon. I understand, the shilling seems crazy sometimes. but I promise you its legit. core sushi dev, tech is 100% functional. TG is a little too professional actually. everyone is loading up in anticipation of marketing and v2 after confirming that the wrap/burn functionality does in fact work as intended. farming also lucrative af.

ngmi. Buy some Chode or mcdc faget

lmao what. you exchange bitcoin so you can get a erc20 token and access more defi potential. what the fuck does bitcoin do for you just sitting in your wallet if you aren't a strict hodler. also I don't know if you can wrap your retarded foldless brain around the fact that if you wanted your BTC back, you can just exchange the vBTC for eth or something and buy it back

>> No.28960422

Yes you should DEFINITLY invest in a STRUDEL coin, and while you are at it, buy some DOGE and MCDC!

In that case, what's stopping me from selling my BTC for ETH and entering DeFi that way?

>> No.28961068

>>28960566
Because the btc has it's own value in the normie sphere. Having it pegged and in defi can get you returns instead of hodl.

Trying to wrap my head around it as well. Heard of the farming potential; after looking into it, seems very highly profitable but hard to understand.

i got no time right now frens, but google "impermanent loss" and you will get it eventually.
If the APY is high though, it outweighs the IL.

Don't be a joker, Lightning Network barely works. If it did, we wouldn't have wBTC and the rest.

Thanks, good read. After digging through, I've come to the conclusion that farming TRDL is very profitable when the price is stable... not so much if there's a rapid change in the price.

https://apy.vision/#/

very useful if you are already staking. according to this I have IL on the eth side of my stake, but the farming side is way up if i sold the trdl

>> No.28966914

>>28965280
Farming trdl puts you at risk of IL when trdl pumps. But farming the vbtc-eth pool has much lower risk. Hold the big daddies which move more slowly and often together and then you just farm and hold trdl.

Plus when you burn btc for vbtc you get bonus trdl as a reward. I don't understand why more people arnt minting vbtc, if I wasn't all in id be doing this non stop

Look at ETH's price chart and then back at BTC's. Why exchange BTC for ETH when you can exchange it for something pegged to BTC's price that you can lend, pool, stake, etc? That's why.
