you don't get it. if I want stability I put my money in my boomer 401k and happily collect my 10%. The entire appeal of a crypto investment is the possibility of 10x, that is what makes the risk tolerable. that upside isn't there with bitcoin currently. but there is significant risk we could be below 30k within the next few weeks.

Bitcoin still has a 5-10x in it over the next two years. your 401k is losing value thanks to the FED's printing. do you really believe the effective inflation rate is a mere 2%? if your investments don't increase 15% a year at minimum they are losing value with the current monetary policy. do you think Tesla, Apple, Mastercard, MicroStrategy would bother going through huge regulatory hurdles to buy BTC to protect themselves from a tiny 2% inflation rate?
Inflation aside, companies with international operations are losing out due to the USD/EUR, USD/GBP and USD/JPY parity becoming increasingly unfavorable, again due to the FED's unrestricted printing spree.

tl;dr you're have to be an idiot to sell BTC, and an even bigger retard to ""invest"" in a 401k at a 10% annual rate of return.

The next moderate correction will be around $70k imo. It would fit the pattern. Pull back to $50k again and crab for a few weeks just like January. I'm not looking for another correction until $70k.
Then next target is $140k, with massive resistance at 100 that might take a while to break through.

I don't recall seeing the FED's plan out of this never ending printing fury. I can't thing of what such plan would look like either given the current situation. this issue is unlikely to be resolved for another four years at the least.
and the forex pairs becoming increasingly worse for USD is not an assumption, it is mechanically what happens when you constantly devalue USD at a faster rate than the other currencies.

If you want something between low risk 10% and high risk 1,000% then bitcoin at a low risk 200% makes sense, doesn't it? I don't think Bitcoin is any more risky than the S&P500. It's averaged 200% a year for the last 12 years. The S&P is averaging like 8%.

Short term like this week? Today? It's going up, look at the chart it's bullish as fuck. If we don't break and stay above 50k within two days I'd be very surprised. 3 months? Still bullish as fuck. It's a no brainer to be all in bitcoin right now.
You think it has significant short term risk based on what? A hunch? We just had a 30% correction, it's looking very healthy right now. All the indicators, rhodl, pi cycle, long term macd or take your pick, are very bullish.

The reason it's not below $30k is because of the halving creating a supply-side shock that drives the price up. Elon and Tesla are insignificant in the scheme of things, just noise on the weekly chart. Elon's tweets cause a rapid spike up and then spike back down, it's just swingers and scalpers jumping in and out.

Would you buy the S&P500 at this price? Would you buy a house at these prices? Where are you going to put your money? The dollar is being eroded away little by little every day you can't stay in cash. Every asset is a bubble, but I think btc is just getting started, it's still early. If I'm triggered it's because you're being stubborn and thick-headed and don'tknow what'sgood for you and I want to help you. There were people saying "I'm not buying at this price" when it was $20. I know, I was one of them. I was one at $500 and $2000 as well. Now I finally understand bitcoin and I see that $50,000 bitcoin is cheap. I bought more at $48,600, it was cheap. We might not ever see sub $50,000 bitcoin ever again. There are people who understand this and continue to buy.

I have no idea what to do with my money right now, I have a decent chunk on the sidelines. My house is paid off and I get significant tax incentives to have money put in my 401k, so I don't really have to think about those two.

I think there are a lot of people FOMOing right now, and your language "THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE" is only reaffirming that instinct.

Maybe they're right? One thing I finally learned about investing is you actually *should* do what everyone else is doing. Stop trying to outsmart normies and go against the herd, go with the herd. Just be a little quicker: Enter earlier than the early majority and get out earlier too but otherwise go with the flow. I always had this mentality of "I can't do what everyone else is doing because I'm smarter than them" and it caused me to miss so many opportunities. The actual big brain approach is to ride their wave but know when to abandon ship. With bitcoin it's easy, there are charts that tell you when the top is in with high accuracy, and we're not there yet, not close. Lookintobitcoin.com

I definitely think next cycle bottom will be $40k, that's why even $50k is still a fairly safe entry. You don't even have to sell the top of this cycle if you enter no you can just hold as long as you like. All you have to do is not sell the very bottom of the next cycle.
