Avalanche bretty based to be honest. As soon as gasfees are fixed all these pet projects will go to zero though.

how do you define "transaction"? because interacting with one shitty ethereum contract can trigger 200 "transactions". is this use or inefficiency?

>> No.28851714

>>28851439
it is use for sure, given that fees are paid
the price people are willing to pay to interact with an ecosystem is the surest sign we have of economic value tied to that protocol
admittedly some of it must be shaved due to miners mining their own tx, but it is likely negligible

There is not such thing as spam transactions. In the future, 99% of transactions will be made between IoT devices. If a network is capable of handling tons of these "spam" transactions, than it's a good network.

the real blackpill is fees. fees are necessary for any non-centralized blockchain to disincentivize spam. a cpu cycle, bit of memory costs as much as any other chain, when nobody is willing to pay, it's incredibly obvious.

By the time that happens (estimated 3 years minimum by ETH devs) the space will have outgrown ETH.

It's even worse if you imagine the transaction volume on ETH if the fees were almost zero and it could scale.

lol, fees are basically fixed now.

Use Loopring ZK rollup for trades, very soon will have essentially all token pairs.

Also many NFT projects are already scaled with various other L2 solutions.

in the near-term there is optimism and a host of other advanced ZK rollups.

Rollups push ETH to 10k tps. That's already better than all the alternative L1s. ETH 2.0 phase 2 in two years will give ETH hundreds of thousands of transactions per second. Utterly eclipsing the competition. This was always the plan. People are getting way ahead of themselves hyping alternative L1s. All it takes is L2 adoption and ETH has scaled.

Loopring is already processing more transactions than all the other alternate L1s. Zero gas fee, on ETH with ETH level security guarantee.

LMFAO nigger that's the dollar volume of Cardano *token* being transacted during peak ADA hype...

ETH processes > 1 million individual transactions (not dollar volume) daily. Cardano processes nothing but ADA token swaps.

L2s fits the hypothetical IoT future better. you will need scalability way beyond 150 TPS or 4000 TPS or whatever these L1 eth killers claim
